Travel Maker — Restaurant in Seoul

Korea does American breakfast better than America itself! I live in California and I’ve tried a lot of breakfast spots. I always love trying new places so I’m always on the hunt for a good breakfast place. Travel Maker had the best waffles ever and their hash browns were so crispy! If you’re used to Dennys or something, most of the times their crash browns, pancakes, or waffles are kinda soggy. I went here more than once during my trip because that’s how good it was! Their chocolate shake was also really good and I thought their french toast had a perfect combination of everything. It wasn’t too eggy or cinnamon-y. Funny enough, the breakfast place I think is the best I’ve ever gone to back in the states are also owned my Koreans. So I guess they really do know how to do American breakfast! We had our fill of 국밥 for breakfast on our trip, so we were craving an American style breakfast. Travel Maker was perfect. It felt like it could have been any local pancake house in the States.

We ordered a bit of everything. Pancakes, waffles, French toast with sides of bacon and hash browns. I personally appreciated the small pot of coffee for easy refills. The only thing that would have made the breakfast even better is if they used fresh strawberries. I know that can make it more expensive, but we would have paid more. The waffles and pancakes were fluffy and moist. We all loved the hash browns- perfectly crispy. All the classic American condiments were available table-side.

Went here for lunch at around 12:40 today and won't be back

The place was empty when we arrived. The staff were all sitting around on their phones and before during and after our meal. I dont usually mind what they're doing as long as I get my food but the restaurant is filthy. The glass partition next to our table was dirty, the table sticky, the drip coffee warmer was greasy, etc.

I ordered one of the breakfast combos with a waffle. I took one bite of the hash browns and almost threw up. The oil tasted rancid. I informed the server and the plate was remade.

All in all a terrible meal. The owner has clearly given up. Also if the owner is reading this, one of your staff slyly took a reese chocolate bar from the snack rack and snacked on it. I just wanted to...
