Cafe Knotted Anguk — Restaurant in Seoul

If you're visiting Seoul and want to experience something truly unique, Knotted in Anguk is the perfect hidden gem. Nestled in a beautifully restored traditional Korean hanok (hanok = Korean house), this café offers a calm escape from the busy city streets.

Delicious baked goods! The Korean Salted Butter Roll, cream donuts, and signature drinks are not just cute, but full of flavor.

It’s kid-friendly and also great for couples or solo travelers who want to relax or take photos.

📍 Just a 3-minute walk from Anguk Station (Line 3). 💡 Tip: Come in the morning or late afternoon for soft lighting and fewer crowds.

Went for a quick snack before visiting a museum, ended up eating two donuts! That's how good the cream-filled donuts are: fluffy, with whipped-cream-like filling!

The café itself was quiet (5pm on a Thursday), only 4 or 5 patrons before I came in, so not crowded at all.

There's a beautiful courtyard, and though it's not accessible to the public, I could enjoy the view from a comfy bench inside, as if in a traditional hanok.

If you're visiting during summer, know that the air cond is perfect (not too cold, if you know what I mean) for a break ;)

I will definitely come back and I highly recommend that you give a try to...

Awesome gourmet donuts with unique Korean themes flavours paired with fresh milk cream centers.

Very popular shop in Anguk and when we visited, we got the last table despite it being a somewhat large shop.

We ordered the fresh cream and injeolmi flavours. The injeolmi was my favourite, with a surprise of having chewy rice cake inside the donut which is true to the traditional Korean dessert. They also have drinks options which pair nicely with their main product.

The atmosphere is relaxed and the decor is simple and cute. The crowd generally moves throw fast but if it's full, you can opt for the takeaway...
