Gran Gusto — Restaurant in Seoul

Service was great, all staff were kind and careful. They also speak some English.

We got the summer course with the ossobuco and the classic dinner course with the steak.

The ossobuco was not classic Italian, it is koreanized, too many onions to brung the taste more sweet, as most of the food in Korea.

Nothing was bas but nothing was exceptional. Everything was good. The arancini as amuse buche great, the home made (? Not sure why?) Lasagna was good but didnt taste home made, steaks were great and panacota was good, the melon and parma (where is the parma) should be removed.

Wine is Korean price, expensive but jot overly expensive.

Everything was well presented for the 77k menu, besides the coffee which was a bucket of coffee, they should ask or offer an espresso instead, this was kind of shameful.

A surprise find before going to KIAF/Frieze; it so happens to be a very well-established Italian restaurant in Seoul.

Incredible food, better than in many restaurants in Europe, I dare say. But the quality of this place does not end there. Staff and owners were warm and friendly, helping us pick a wine pairing and guiding us through the lunch menu.

그란구스또는 2004년에 오픈,서울에서 이태리레스토랑으로 10년을 버텨온 맛집이다. 굿테이스트라는 이름처럼 음식들이 모두 만족스럽다. 지금은 너무나 유명해진 고등어파스타와 멸치파스타등이 이 곳의 대표메뉴다. 고등어파스타는 싱싱한 생물 고등어를 살만 발라 필레(살코기 덩어리)를 만들고, 올리브유와 마늘 허브에 마리네이드(서양식 절임)한 후 올리브 오일과 대파를 함께 넣어 소스를 만든다. 알덴테(살짝 익힘)로 익힌 파스타를 섞어 내면 그 맛과 향에 누구나 좋아할 수 밖에 없다. 신선한 재료를 사용하기 때문에 전혀 비린내가 없고 고등어의 고소한 맛과 대파의 약간 알싸한 맛이 기막히게 어우러지는 웰빙 파스타이다. 생멸치와 학꽁치 파스타도 있는데 역시 비린 맛이 전혀 없는 별미로 인기가 높다. 올리브유에는 오메가-6라는 좋은 지방이 들어 있어서 고등어와 올리브, 파스타의 궁합은 맛과 건강을 모두 충족시켜주는 최고의 궁합이라 할 수 있다.가격대비 괜찮은 코스요리도 인기인데 이 세트메뉴는 매일매일 바뀌는 daily메뉴다. 음식에 맞는 다양한 와인리스트를 준비해 놓고 있아서 가능하면 이 곳에서 먹을 때는 음식과 잘 어울리는 와인을 추천받아 마시도록 하자.이 와인바는 새벽 2시까지 이용할 수 있어 데이트 하기 좋은 집이다.2층 구조로 되어 있는데 그래서인지 층고가 높아 한국에서는 쉽게 볼 수 없는 레스토랑 중 한 곳이다. 성게알 파스타도 인기만점의 메뉴이므로 비싸긴 하지만 여유가 되면 먹어보도록 하자. 반드시 알아두어 나쁠 것 없는 레스토랑 중 한 곳으로 소개팅 성공확률을 상당히 높여주기는 하지만 주변에 그란구스또외에 딱히 먹을만한 맛집이나 술집등이 없어서 데이트를 하러 가는 거라면 그란구스또에서 끝을 보던지 아니면 미리 발품을 팔아 다음에 갈 곳정도는...
