Guunmong — Restaurant in Seoul

I went to this restaurant based on good reviews but I have to say it was disappointing. We ordered octopus, beef tartar, 400g of ribeye, and potato terrine. The first dish, octopus, was satisfying and I kept my hope high. Beef tartar had a gochugang flavour, which, in my opinion, didn’t go well with the beef. The real disappointment came with the steak. The first bite was satisfying; juicy and right amount of saltiness. But the thicker part was rare (we ordered medium rare). I told the waiter that the meat was not cooked enough. Instead of apologying, he coldly said he could ask the kitchen to cook it more. I told him cooking more is not necessary but they should know it’s not medium rare. He said he will ask the kitchen to check but nobody came to the table afterwards. Also, I paid 50,000KRW for corkage but after they opened the bottle they didn’t pour the wine not even once. This place is PHENOMENAL! I was blown away by everything I had at this place. Everything here is 10/10 and I was completely satisfied with my experience for the first time here. I came in for a casual late Sunday afternoon meal. Immediately walking in to this place you can feel that it has a very cozy and inviting environment.
