I’m writing this review on behalf of my parents and my uncle’s family, who recently visited Hanmiok during their first trip to Korea. Unfortunately, their experience was extremely disappointing.
They were served spoiled rice, which was both surprising and unacceptable. My aunt even took a small bite of the spoiled rice before realizing it. When my father pointed this out to the staff, they initially denied any issue. It was only after my father insisted they double-check that they admitted the rice was indeed spoiled. Shockingly, they still refused to apologize for the mistake.
This incident demonstrated a serious lack of quality control regarding food freshness at Hanmiok. Even more concerning was the poor customer service. The staff’s reluctance to acknowledge their mistake and their refusal to offer an apology made my family feel disrespected and greatly disappointed.
This unfortunate experience ruined the mood for the entire group and negatively impacted their trip. I hope the management takes immediate steps to address these issues and improve both their food quality and customer service. I wouldn’t want other visitors to go through the same disappointing experience...
Read moreParty of 12 - We loved this meal! It was fun, entertaining, and vibe was just overflowing of food! Saw this all over IG - but it was for their Gangnam branch!
Made a reservation for 2 groups of 6, bc the Catchtable won’t allow a group of 12. It was difficult to reserve. But once we got there, they were able to seat us in a large table above its 6 adults and 6 teens; they were flexible. We ordered on the iPad - 3 sets of the same meal - so there would enough meat and food for all the kids. We also added extra brisket and fried rice at the end. The star of the show was definitely the torch eggs and my kids love soft scrambled eggs. The meat was delicious and d tender. The ban chan spread was amazing… lots of pickled veggies and quite good.
Service was top notch, they made sure you didn’t have to cook, and they made sure you know what’s being serve and how to eat it.
Overall an awesome dinner for $550 USD - for 12 ppl!
Pro Tip: be sure to ask them when paying the bill, the deposit that was charged to you on the Catchtable app… not sure if we got credit for...

Served in a traditional few-section platter, the Chadol Gujeolpan features thinly sliced brisket (chadolbaegi) alongside a vibrant array of vegetables, herbs, and thin flour crepes (miljeonbyeong). Each component is prepared with precision and restraint—nothing is overly seasoned, allowing the natural flavors to shine.
The joy of this dish is in the assembly: you wrap your own bites, combining the tender beef with crisp vegetables and a dab of sauce, creating a perfect harmony of texture and taste. It's light yet satisfying, and ideal for a mindful, well-balanced meal.
But the real treat? The Kimchi Fried Rice that follows.
After enjoying the Gujeolpan, the staff uses the remaining beef and ingredients to stir-fry a rich, flavorful kimchi fried rice tableside. The rice is perfectly seasoned, with a gentle heat from the kimchi and a deep umami from the beef and sesame oil. It's crispy, slightly smoky from the pan, and completely satisfying—comfort food at its...
