This is definitely a culinary delight for my mini trip here. I’ve been skeptical with raw crab concept, after searching few restaurants, decided to visit this one, especially it is a Michelin recommended for consecutive years.
Arrived right after their opening as walk in, the reception lady advised me it may take about one hour to wait. Since my schedule was loose, I didn’t mind and walked around the area a bit as well. I studied on the net how to eat this dish, luckily the restaurant staff explained in details as well. I love the steamed egg dish, the rice is so delicious served in a hot little pot, fragrance of the rice with a bit of burning smell is remarkable!! Adding some warm water, making it a yummy porridge.
Now comes the crab marinated in soy sauce, I thought it’s complicated to get the meat out, actually super easy! Just squeeze the meat out of the body, so smooth and easy. I read comments from other places saying it might a bit salty, to me, the seasoning is just perfect. As advised, top it on the rice and wrapped it with seaweed, awww, simply divine! 😋
From the side dishes, I enjoyed the potatoes and also a different type of seaweed served.
I wouldn’t mind to have another one, however I’ll leave it to the next time when I’m here. Something to look forward to!
Restaurant ambience and service are awesome as well! Especially noticing more local diners here, which is a...
Read moreI was absolutely blown away by the marinated soy raw crabs! I’ve tried raw crabs at several other spots in Seoul, but none compare to the ones served here. The texture and taste were exceptional and unlike any I’ve experienced before. The crab meat was firm and had a texture akin to firm gelatin, without any mushiness. The tomalley and roe were incredibly sweet and creamy, which I always consider the best part. Impressively, there was no fishiness at all.
The crabs were perfectly portioned and sized, making them easy to eat. I also appreciated that the crabs weren’t marinated for too long, allowing the natural taste of the crab to really shine through, which I thoroughly enjoyed.
We dined in a private room, and the staff was incredibly attentive and friendly. I would return in a heartbeat! If you’ve tried marinated raw crabs before and felt disappointed or found them mediocre, give this place a try, it will change your...
Read moreThis is a Michelin restaurant serving marinated raw crabs. We made a booking and a booking was definitely needed as we can see people who didn’t being turned away. Our table was ready for us and so nicely set up. We had one crab set each which was KRW47000 per pax. Firstly we were served some steamed egg. Next came the main dish which was the crab. We were given a bowl of rice each and we could add tea to the rice pot after scooping out the rice.
The crabs were fresh. It was not strongly marinated and you can taste the rawness of the crabs. Not for the faint hearted. Mix it with rice and the given condiments and it makes for a delicious meal. Adding rice to the roe filled crab shell at the end and mixing it was the best way to eat and my favourite part...
