Maji Restaurant is a delightful spot for anyone looking to enjoy authentic traditional Korean cuisine in a warm and welcoming setting. From the moment you step inside, the atmosphere feels cozy, with a blend of traditional Korean décor and modern touches that create a peaceful and inviting ambiance. The layout is comfortable, and the attention to detail in the design adds a touch of cultural charm, making it perfect for both locals and tourists. The menu is impressive, offering a wide variety of traditional Korean dishes, each prepared with fresh ingredients and authentic flavors. From classic staples like kimchi to more intricate dishes, every dish is crafted with care. The balance of flavors is exceptional, from the savory to the spicy, giving a true taste of Korean home-cooking. One standout aspect is the restaurant's use of side dishes (**banchan**), which are plentiful and varied, complementing the main dishes perfectly. They are continuously replenished, and each one brings a new flavor to the table. The service at Maji is friendly and attentive. The staff are knowledgeable about the menu and happy to offer recommendations, ensuring that both first-time visitors and seasoned Korean food lovers find something to enjoy. Overall, Maji Restaurant offers an excellent experience for those seeking delicious, authentic Korean food. The combination of great service, high-quality dishes, and a charming atmosphere makes it a perfect spot for a relaxed meal, whether you're dining with family, friends, or even solo.

Maji – A True Taste of Nature If you're looking for an authentic plant-based dining experience in Seoul, Maji is the place to be. This vegan restaurant takes natural cooking to the next level—using only homegrown ingredients and preparing every dish with care and tradition. We opted for the Local Set Menu, which is best described as a vegan tapas-style selection of small dishes, each bursting with unique flavors and aromatic spices. Every bite was a delightful surprise, with an incredible blend of textures and scents that made the experience truly special. Our friendly server, who spoke excellent English, explained that the set menu is more of a tasting experience and might not be filling enough on its own. Following her recommendation, we added the tofu and mushroom dishes—and we’re so glad we did! Both were rich, flavorful, and complemented the rest of the meal perfectly. Beyond the food, Maji offers an atmosphere that feels both authentic and serene. The cozy, natural setting enhances the experience, making it more than just a meal—it’s a moment to slow down and savor. If you’re open to exploring new flavors and want to enjoy a meal made with love and tradition, Maji is an absolute must-try.

The food was awesome, the owner is friendly, funny and a person you'd like to spend time with. The atmosphere was great - I've been there two times as a picky vegetarian - one time it was almost empty because it was brunch time and one time it was really full with local koreans (dinner). This restaurant is really popular even with the locals and the staff is able to speak english fluently. I recommend this restaurant highly - I still dream about their dumpling soup. The prices are very very much alright - you pay way more in my home country for the amount of food you'll get there - especially vegan. Vegan food will never exactly the same like meaty food but it doesn't have to be. Vegan food is very tasty and jesus christ I will miss that place in my hometown. I wish I could marry that restaurant.
