Waoak — Restaurant in Seoul

Tucked inside a beautifully preserved hanok, the space blends traditional Korean architecture with a modern, intimate bar vibe. The moment you walk in, you’re greeted by a warm and relaxed atmosphere — soft lighting, natural wood, and a courtyard that feels like a peaceful escape from the city.

The cocktails? Absolutely top-notch. Thoughtfully crafted, well-balanced, and beautifully presented. You can tell the bartenders here are passionate and skilled — plus they’re super friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even more special.

Whether you’re here for a casual drink or a quiet date night, Waoak is perfect. I’ll definitely be coming back (probably with friends next time so I can try more of the menu!).

It's an absolutely gorgeous little bar/drink spot. Perfect for some nice photos. The staff member working during my visit was very kind, and they offered free snacks with your drink. The wine options are few, but they are good. The bathroom is very well equipped. Something I really appreciated. They have a hair straightener, mouth wash, and cotton ear buds. Plus, some other things to help refresh your make-up....

I met up with my friends at Waok when I was visiting Korea in July. It is an awesome bar with great signature drinks (and lots of other selections) and the atmosphere was a killer. I say it is a must place especially if you want to experience traditional Korean architecture with modernized interiors. Spend the day at Kyungbokkung and finish of your day at Waok. Service was great too....
