In my last visit to Seoul in july 2023, I visited Guillaume Cafรฉ after seeing nice pictures on Google Maps, hoping to have an enjoyable dessert experience. Unfortunately, my visit turned out to be extremely disappointing due to the cafe's poor treatment of customers.
Upon arriving at the cafe, I ordered a dessert and informed the staff that I intended to have it on-site. They promptly informed me that in order to have my dessert inside the cafe, I would need to order a drink or coffee as well. I acknowledged their requirement and began checking the menu, eagerly anticipating my sweet treat.
However, my anticipation quickly turned into frustration when the manager approached me after a few minutes. To my surprise, the manager addressed me in an unexpectedly rude manner, stating that they would not serve my dessert until I ordered my coffee. And I told him I already paid for the dessert and I will order coffee and Im not a liar, just I need time to explore your nice menue. Feeling taken aback, I reluctantly ordered a random coffee just to please the rude manager, insisted to pay for the drink instintly, and left the cafe without consuming anything.
This incident not only ruined my mood but also left me astonished that a supposedly fancy cafe in a prestigious area of Seoul could fail to treat their customers with basic decency. The staff's rude behaviour and their insistence on serving the dessert only after I ordered the coffee demonstrated a lack of professionalism and customer service skills.
As a customer, I believe that the experience at any establishment is greatly influenced by the way its staff interacts with visitors. Regrettably, Guillaume Cafรฉ failed to meet even the most basic expectations in this regard. I would caution anyone considering a visit to this cafe to be prepared for potential disappointment and discourteous treatment.
Overall, my experience at Guillaume Cafรฉ was thoroughly unsatisfactory, and I can not recommend it to others based on the disrespectful manner in which I...

The croissant had the perfect texture: crispy shell, soft, fluffy yet flaky interior with numerous layers, and a soft butter taste. Wish the French butter taste was more apparent because it was lacking in the flavor department. We tried the pistachio pastry it was a bit too sweet with the white chocolate, but great nutty flavor. The kougnin amann was the best Iโve ever had. Coffee was delicious, but a tad expensive. Interior was very parisan and the French songs they played added...

The pastry chef enjoys to play with the textures and flavours. Challenge is there with innovative and subtil flavours. Design of cakes is very fashionable and reminds me best in class pastry you find now in France.
It is rare to find such a place in Asia whereby low cost and low quality shops are sprouting everywhere (eg Paris Baguette that has from France...
