An expensive brunch place, not worth the money in my opinion.
Today we both opted for the English breakfast, a meal I've had several times in Korea in several styles. We didn't expect an exact replica, and I can stand a different array of vegetables and a different kind of sausage as long as the right idea is there.
It wasn't here.
First, some positives. They serve earl grey tea, although there was confusion when we asked for milk (in fluent korean) and they added it into the pot. They redid it with the milk on the side, so that was slightly funny. The food was also quickly served to us.
However, for 23,000 won, you get a single vien-style sausage (not bad but only one?) and two thin streaks of American bacon. I expected the american style, but the portions were disappointing.
The bread was nice, and the marmalade, although an odd choice, is a nice side. I'd prefer butter, but good effort. The egg was as expected, but again, a paltry serving of a third of a tomato, not even cooked long enough, disappointed.
However, it's the cold potatoes with a sweet sauce on them, combined with the runner beans which disappointed me most. Why of all vegetables, these? They serve mushrooms on other items, but we couldn't add them as an extra on here. A hash brown is also easy to make and would've brought the meal up a notch.
It feels like small things, but they all add up to something which was barely an English breakfast. For 23,000 won!!! You have to expect better.

Read moreThis brunch spot has been one of my weekend favorites for as long as I can remember, and I love that it’s still going strong, always bustling with customers. I usually come here for their perfectly made eggs Benedict and a good cup of coffee, but since I’ve quit coffee completely, today I treated myself to their tea, fresh juice, sandwiches, and French toast topped with berries. Everything tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared, with just the right balance of flavors.
Tucked away behind 압구정’s busy streets, the restaurant feels like a little hidden gem. Its warm, cozy vibe and charming design remind me of a corner café in Europe—somewhere you’d stumble upon during a leisurely walk and immediately want to linger. It’s the kind of place that makes brunch feel like a small ritual, rather than just...
