This was a strange experience- we stopped by on Saturday afternoon at about 4 pm to ask what time they started serving dinner. The young woman server said they don't close the kitchen so we could come whenever we were ready to eat. I went back to our hotel and made a reservation here on google for 7:30 in the sala, when I noted that it had said air conditioned. When we arrived there were a few tables occupied outside, and 80% of the other tables had not been cleaned from the previous diners. There were two young men behind the bar eating potato chips -and at this point we just cleared one of the dirty outdoor tables and took a seat. No one came out - so I went in and said please come and take our order for food and drink. One young man said the kitchen doesn't open until 8. so we ordered drinks and got the drinks - at 8:05 I went inside to place a food order with the other young man. we got our food at about 8:45 - about the time that the other staff started to trickle in - clearing the tables and people started sitting down. So - be aware that food service starts at about 8:30-9 PM. I had the burrata salad and it was good. My husband had a chicken burger but the fries were inedible. Our server was very nice (not the original guy who was goofy and on his way out for the day.) My husband says they could make a lot more money if they had staff at 7:30 on a Saturday night. There were many people who we watched walk away because all the tables were dirty and there was no...
Read moreCame to Avila for the day but when we sat down to eat around 4 pm we realized everything was closing! Many of the restaurants’ kitchens close at 4pm!
ECQTG was the only restaurant still serving food in Chico square. The staff were super friendly and the food was great! A little on the high side price-wise but we were satisfied.
Deanna was our server! She was super sweet and explained the menu to us. They dont have a ton of staff so they were all running around like crazy.
Our chicken tikka tacos were super delicious and the cheese plate was also yummy! Light bites! Apparently this isn’t the most authentic Avila food out there but we were happy! Make sure to try the egg yolk...
