**reply to the rude restaurant
First of all, we do not see why it is necessary to mention the travel agency. Your restaurant was the one who prepared the food, but not them. The fact that your food was bad has nothing to do with them.
Second of all, we were only offered 2 options: beef and American styled fried chicken. As we do not eat beef, we were obliged to choose chicken. We would like to specify that the chicken itself tasted sour even WITHOUT the sauce.
The two waiters speaking several languages that you mentioned weren't those who served us unfortunately. Anyway, this doesn't change the fact that the waiters who served us could ONLY speak Spanish. Again, it is your responsibility to communicate with your customers, but not to "delegate" it to our guide. In fact, the way you argued actually shows that your restaurant doesn't really treat customers brought by travel agencies as your real customers. It seems like it was just a basic package that you had sold to the travel agency, good food and service quality was simply not included.
Worst of all, when our negative review was spotted, your team contacted our guide and asked him to force us to DELETE it. After we refused, the guide had to write a 5-star review for your restaurant under pressure (yes we noticed that). We strongly believe this is not the first time that your restaurant makes this kind of request when things don't go well for you.
Your replies to other negative comments are all pretty aggressive and sarcastic. Sometimes even some discreet insults to the tourists by implying that they could not appreciate your food due to "cultural differences" and their poor taste. Or even trying to discredit them by saying that not even the tour guide nor their group mates like them. But all these CANNOT change the fact that your food was AWFUL. You should really stop changing the subject + gaslighting tactics and focus on enhancing the quality of your food and service instead.
Given your location, your restaurant lives off tourists, and most of them are foreigners. We strongly suggest that instead of finding excuses, heeding advice humbly from your customers should be a better solution, isn't it?
It is a pity that your restaurant adopts such an attitude towards your customers. All your customers want is a nice food experience, but not dealing with your...
Read moreI sat at their terraza to have a double Fanta de limón with 3 chocolate pie (do not ask! I was tired returning to Madrid and needed sugar to get going) As I sat I noticed there were two ladies sitting near bye almost done with their merienda. After I placed my order and when the waitress was returning to put it, these ladies asked her for the “cuenta” bill. She then collected it and carried on to get my merienda. 5 minutes later she appeared with my order and requested it to be paid right away. I complied but made sure to notice this discrimination. Me paying ahead? Why? The ladies paid after they were done. This BTW (pay after) is the norm in every restaurant in the world. That is why R. EL LIENZO gets only 1 Star. Believe me, if I have an option to give you 5 👎🏻 I would right-away. This was the most offensive treatment I ever had in my life in a restaurant. Avila is Monumental. You asking me to pay ahead made your R a Monumental mistake. My reviews are always fair and to the point, I am certain many potential customers are lost because this stupid act of yours. I don’t need to get humiliated to take a picture of Avila’s wall. “Thank you...
