Amaranto — Restaurant in A Coruña

Finally a full gluten and lactose free restaurant experience. No compromising in order to have a delicious and whole meal. All dishes are gluten free and most of them are lactose free too (except a couple of dishes and anything containing white chocolate or dulce de leche) If you have any doubts, just ask the staff. Delicious food for intolerante is the purpose of the restaurant so they are happy to accommodate as much as they can.

They offer breakfast and lunch service, besides coffee and baked goods. The baked goods are very filling so if you want to try different things, opt for the smaller bites. The cakes are heavenly and don’t feel they like they are substitutes.

It is very popular (which is a great sign) so if you want a table for breakfast or luck lunch try to go at quiet hours/days or book a table.

Llevo yendo a Amaranto desde que abrió, y es sin lugar a dudas, MI LUGAR FAVORITO!!!! Veo muchos comentarios sobre precios elevados o cantidades pequeñas etc...entiendo que la gente que hace ese tipo de comentarios, no es gente celíaca y de ahí que le llame la atención el tamaño, la textura o los precios. Yo personalmente sí soy celíaca, por lo que sé muy bien cuánto cuesta la comida sin gluten, cómo son las texturas de los productos sin gluten, y como es el tamaño en comparación al mismo producto con gluten; por eso puedo decir sin error a equivocarme que Amaranto tiene unos precios de lo más asequibles, con una calidad de productos espectacular, unas texturas y unos sabores que yo personalmente no he encontrado en otros sitios. Para mi gusto personal, las cantidades y/o tamaños de los productos son los ideales, al igual que los precios. A todo lo anterior, añadir el valor que tiene para cualquier persona celíaca el poder ir a comer a un sitio íntegro sin gluten, el poder "picar" del plato de tu acompañante, el poder dejar el pan encima de la mesa sin conectarte al modo "rayos ultravioleta en detección de migas", el poder compartir un entrante, en definitiva, en poder compartir una comida con toda la tranquilidad del mundo porque no hay opción a contaminación cruzada...y eso, señores, tiene también un precio. Por ultimo, y por supuesto no menos importante,dejar mención al personal, tanto de mesa como de barra, que es excepcional y maravilloso. Atentas en todo momento, amables y siempre acertadas con sus recomendaciones. Siempre se acuerdan perfectamente de tus gustos, de tus preferencias a la hora de escoger mesa, son encantadoras todas ellas, aunque debo decir que tengo especial devoción por Silvia, que nos trata con muchisimo amor...

We are from Edinburgh, Scotland and have been staying in A Coruna for 3 weeks. We love A Coruna and have found the people to be very warm and welcoming. Our trip to Amaranto is the first time we have felt unwelcome. We are sorry if our Spanish was not good enough for you, we tried. We found the staff to be rude.
