We saw a high rating and decided to go to the restaurant (spoiler: I don't recommend it).

The menu is a 2-page book, although the book has pages in 6 other languages. The wine menu is located via a QR code that is brought to the table, but the page with the menu did not open, we asked for a password for the Wi-Fi, they brought a QR to connect to the Wi-Fi, but we could not connect, we decided to order without a menu.

The food was mediocre, there was nothing super cool, the rating is clearly overpriced, in reality it was somewhere around 4.5.

There was also an unpleasant incident that happened, a table sat next to us, and the cook (or assistant in the kitchen) brings out the dish that we ordered, to the table where the company had just arrived, the dish stands for 10 minutes at someone else's table, they touch the food, look, cough. After 10 minutes, the waiter comes to this table and says, oh, sorry, this is not your food and transfers it to our table, this all happens before our eyes. (The waiter did the wrong thing! Such food should be put away in the kitchen, and then (if it has cooled down, or something is wrong with it, it should be redone with a new one!!! And not put from one table to another!) In general, I will not come again, it left an...

Dined here tonight, feeling absolutely ripped off. I don’t mind paying good money when the food and service warrant it but there’s nothing worse than feeling like you’ve been cheated and wasted your money. Ordered the stuffed salmon dish. Was supposed to be stuffed with bacon and Gorgonzola. After a 45 minute wait it came and was raw on the inside. Sent back to the kitchen for a fresh meal which came, had the same vegetables and potato cake on the side, new bit of salmon that was hard and over cooked, no bacon inside, just a tiny bit of ham and no Gorgonzola. Highlighted this to the waiter, he was nothing but uninterested and kept stating it’s fresh it’s fresh. Yes it was maybe a fresh bit of salmon but it was over cooked. Don’t waste your time or money on this restaurant. The service was crap, there was zero accountability for substandard food and by the way… you need someone in the kitchen who knows...

Food was well presented. We had 3 tapas starters and a Paella to share for the main. The protein in everything was cooked very well, but everything just lacked seasoning - which makes a big difference to the overall taste. I normally go easy on the salt in my cooking, so for me to think it lacked it says something. And I also saw another couple salting their dishes after they tried theirs too. We had calamari (squid well cooked, but tempura batter was oily), chicken&veg (spring) rolls (just no real flavour and the sauce was just extremely sweet) and croquettes (more cheese than potato, but they were lovely). And the pork cheek Paella (melt in your mouth). We were served one starter incorrectly, but they were apologetic and brought out the correct one 5 mins later...

i have no idea why this place has such a high rate? We ordered a couple of starters (some of them were cold), then we got our mains. I took ravioli with truffle sauce - it looked like someone had vomited on my plate. I almost missed the ravioli under the heavy, creamy sauce (the ravioli was also sooo thick, come on!). Drinks - they have lots of options but be careful - it took them forever to remember and bring our drinks to the table. Our table had 3 servers (there were only 3 other tables with customers, so maybe they were bored). and the prices - whoa, for that kind of food it's just not fair. I give them 2 stars, because i don't like to give 1 star to the restaurants, i'm not that evil. But if you have an option - please, go somewhere else.

If you are in Adeje trying this place is a must. We were there beginning of October and had dinners there several times. The owner makes sure that the ingredients are fresh and the delicious dishes are served in a creative way. The owner and the waitresses are very friendly, the service is professional. We sat on the terrace which has a nice athmosphere, but the interior part of the restaurant is amazing as well. My husband is Spanish and he was also amazed by the quality of the food. Unfortunately, we live outside Spain, however, once we return to Tenerife we will definitely visit El Mayek again. Katalin from Hungary
