First and foremost, the service was excellent. The staff were very friendly, spoke English fluently, and made a genuine effort to ensure we felt as comfortable as possible.
Now, let’s discuss the food. The restaurant was packed with guests, primarily from the UK and Belgium, and they all appeared to be enjoying their meals. However, as a group of four Austrians who travel extensively and regularly appreciate great cuisine, we were utterly shocked by what was served.
I am 99% certain that the chef at “Titanic” has never set foot in Italy. The pizza was only marginally better than a €2 frozen pizza. As for the “homemade pasta” advertised on the menu, I sincerely hope it isn’t truly homemade, as I would feel sorry for all the effort that went into producing something so underwhelming. The carbonara was completely flavourless, the Bolognese was a watery sauce, and the frutti di mare pasta was overloaded with pepper and tasted more like a poor attempt at a Hungarian lecsó.
You might ask, “Why go to Spain to eat Italian food?” A fair question, but it brings me to my final point: two-thirds of the menu consisted of Italian dishes. One would reasonably expect that the restaurant had some level of expertise in this cuisine—but sadly, they do not.
So, “Titanic,” my advice is simple: remove all Italian dishes from your menu and focus on creating authentic and high-quality Spanish...
Read moreDuring our January escape to Tenerife (yep, we're the off-season adventurers), we found ourselves in Adeje - a tourist hotspot, despite the 'chill' season. Our mission? Satisfy a sudden, colossal craving for pizza. The venue of choice? Titanic Pizza.
Imagine the scene: four families, 14 strong, armed with noisy kids, storming into the restaurant. We expected chaos, but what we got was a masterclass in hospitality. Despite the bustling crowd, the staff conjured up a mammoth table for our party faster than you can say 'Pepperoni, please!'
The service? Lightning-fast. Orders flew out as if the kitchen had some pizza-producing superpower. Waiting time? What waiting time? As for the pizza itself, it's not quite Naples (let's be real, what is?), but it was a darn good attempt. Tasty, satisfying, and devoured faster than you can say 'Margherita.'
What really topped it off was the buzzing atmosphere and a service team that could probably teach a masterclass in positivity. If you're roaming around Adeje, looking for a spot that's easy on the wallet and serves up good food with minimal wait, Titanic Pizza is your port of call. Highly recommended for an enjoyable meal that won't sink your...
Read moreHaving a lack of decent restaurants in the area around Paya Paraiso, we decided to give Restaurante Titantic a go. We sat outside in a pleasant enough environment, albeit, basic. We were greeted warmly and were told the pasta is made fresh (tagliatelle etc but not spaghetti) so I opted for the recommendation I was given for a tagliatelle carbonara. My wife opted for the salad.
I was alarmed when the cutlery was brought along with a saucer with 'packets' of oil and packets of vinegar (see picture). This meant that they had not bothered to make any fresh dressing.. really poor. To compound matters, we were brought a bowl of powdered parmesan - the heavily processed type (see picture).
My wife left most of her salad - her fork failed to pierce the chunks of avocado and the lettuce looked like it was from a packets of rough parts of was at one time, a passable salad (see picture). My pasta was just a gloopy mass - it had the texture of wallpaper paste. Extremely disappointing and I would absolutely NOT...
