Yesterday, 2nd of november 2024, we had the pleasure of dining at Il Bocconcino at the Royal Hideaway Corales Adults Only in Tenerife, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was warm and inviting, perfectly matching the stunning views of the ocean.
Each dish we tried was a masterpiece, showcasing fresh ingredients and exquisite presentation. The handmade pasta was a highlight—cooked to perfection and paired with a rich, flavorful sauce that left us craving more. The seafood options were equally remarkable, with each bite bursting with freshness and finesse.
The service was exceptional! Our waiter was attentive and knowledgeable, offering excellent wine pairings and making thoughtful recommendations. The entire staff radiated genuine warmth, creating a cozy and welcoming atmosphere that made us feel right at home.
To top it off, we enjoyed a selection of decadent desserts that were simply out of this world. The culinary creativity at Il Bocconcino shines through in every aspect, making it a true standout among the dining options in the area.
If you find yourself in Adeje, I highly recommend treating yourself to a meal at Il Bocconcino. It’s the perfect spot for a romantic dinner or a special celebration, and you won’t leave disappointed! We're already planning our return visit!
Thank you !

The restaurant is a bit odd as you have to walk through the empty area they use for breakfast to get to the actual restaurant. When you get there it is OK.
The menu is fairly standard Italian fare.
We had the bruschetta and mussels to start. The former was toast with chopped tomatoes, a bit bland and lacking oil, garlic, and basil. The mussels were very spicy and ca.e with some large, hard, toasted croutons, which unfortunately didn't soak up the sauce.
For mains, we had the lobster ravioli and the seafood spaghetti. Both were nice, the pasta was a little too al dente, and we don't like it soft, and the flavours were nothing special.
We finished off sharing a tiramisu, which was absolutely delicious, probably the best we've had.
The waiter was telling us everything is home made in the kitchen, and I don't doubt it, but unfortunately, it was nothing special, and based on other reviews, a bit of a...
Read moreWarning: risk of confusion. There are two restaurants under the name Il Bocconcino that are quite different. The trattoria offers pizzas, vitello tonnato and other classic Italian dishes. In contrast, there is the gourmet restaurant, which is right next door. There are no classic dishes here, but rather high-quality culinary dishes. The menu is relatively small. And unfortunately the portions are just as small if you eat à la carte. On the other hand, the prices are very high. You have to expect to pay around €150 or more per person. The location of the gourmet restaurant is an open terrace. In the evening it gets quite cold. You will definitely need a jacket or sweater and long trousers. The young boss, the service, seemed overwhelmed. He was very nervous, rattled off the special dishes too quickly and seemed incompetent and unfriendly. This did not fit the style and aim of this restaurant at all. The price-performance ratio was not right for us at all. I would be cautious here. Not necessarily recommended unless you consciously want to spend a lot of money on...
