Starfish — Restaurant in Adeje

I come here with a recommendation from Uncle Bob for my wife's birthday dinner.

The atmosphere is exceptional. It's hard to find such a view in UK with such great climate.

The service is also excellent. The gentlemen did take a detail explanation to my son on his cheese selection.

Food is very good.

Espeically one of the starter (I forgot its name and it was made with butterfish as a cold appetizers.) , that as exceptional.

The cheese board is also very good.

As the restaurant called Starfish, so, its seafood is better than other mains. We have ordered a grilled Butterfish and it was exceptional. Unfortunately, we would like to tried prawns and it was not the right moment and they do not have it in the time when we visited.

The price list of the fish menu may frighten some of the vistor as it indiciated the price per kilogram. In fact, one portion of the fish is around 400g or less. I suggested they tried to explain more to the customers on this.

In term of price, it is on the high side. But, for the same price in UK or Hong Kong, you would not get similiar quality of dinner. If you are not looking for fine dinning, it is not a...

My husband and I stayed at Royal Hideaway for our birthdays and we dined at Starfish Atlantic Grill two of the nights. We had some of our favorite dishes of the trip there and some of our least favorite.

Pros:

Beautiful views as it’s situated overlooking the water with gorgeous views of the sunset. The staff are very friendly and attentive - Diego is lovely and remembered us days apart between dining. The majority of the food was delicious - we did the tasting menu the first night and a la carte the second. I throughly enjoyed the prawn, brioche filled with yolk and topped with tuna tartare. They have a delicate hand with the seafood and the presentation is top notch.

Cons:

The meat dishes aren’t their strong point. We ordered the dry aged picanha and were not asked how we would like it cooked. Unfortunately it came out super dry and tough and cooked almost to the level of beef jerky. The meatballs were a little tough and overworked.

Starfish Restaurant (Verdict: 👍🏻 No Potatoes) located at the @royalhideawaycoralesresort a @barcelohotelsresorts in La Caleta, Costa Adeje (Tenerife South)

We ordered Seabass and the Senyoret rice (local fresh fish, squid and prawn) dish. Sort of like a paella while giving the local wines a try. Both were fantastic and very flavorful. Definitely coming back again. The service at this resort is always A+, consistently great! @vinopotato 🍷🥔

When the philosophy of their Starfish restaurant is to give priority to local produce, the result is wonderful dishes like this one. Freshness and dedication are the pilars of this wonderful place.
