Me and my partner went there today, we loved the look of it and we went in hoping to get a proper lunch (as nowadays is kind of impossible in the south of Tenerife). It was a big disappointment, we ordered a pulled pork burrito that was more like a soup in a wrap, and a rotisserie chicken. The chicken was looking perfect until I open it and it was cold inside, I told the waitress about it and she started explaining to me why it was cold trying to excuse herself not letting me talk when I just ask for it to be heated up, wasting my time, she stopped me when I said I don't mind if you did it today or last night I just want it hot, she told me I didn't understand and proceeded to say the same thing over and over until my husband had to tell her that I did understand but i wanted heated up again. She took the plate and came back after 10 mins and was still warm not hot, I said whatever and started eating when I saw a black short hair underneath my chips, then I lost it and stopped eating. We just got up, paid and left, didn't even mention it because of how rude it was to make a customer feel like an idiot, repeating yourself saying I don't understand when I clearly do. You didn't understand your job, serve the table and respect the customer that is spending 30⏠in a table of 2 for food that's not even edible. Not coming back any soon, sorry guys.    Read moreDisappointing as the place has a lot of potential. We came twice and ate here once. Summary is the food is ok but the service is severely lacking.
On our first visit one of the pancakes in my sonâs meal was hard as a rock, no apologies given after reporting it to staff, still charged full price for the meal. The other portion of pancakes was fine and the adult meals were also tasty and healthy. We ordered a couple smoothies for the kids which werenât really to their taste, more geared towards adults, my wife and I had them and enjoyed them.
On our second visit we sat down at a dirty table expecting to be spotted and given menus and have the table cleaned after arriving. After being ignored for 5 minutes with tables around us being served and attended to, we then switched to a clean table with menus and a member of staff came and pushed the chairs in at the dirty table we had previously sat at. Didnât clean the table, just pushed in the chairs. Not so much as a âGood Morningâ or âIâll be with you in a minuteâ from any of the staff walking around the place.
We wonât be returning, plenty other options in the area for coffee...
Read moreTenerife is a truly wonderful island, known for being a happy, friendly, and family-oriented destination. The owners of The Deli take great pride in creating an inviting atmosphere for everyone.
Having visited numerous restaurants in the area, I can confidently say that this small, unique spot serves the best food around. The quality is exceptional, and everything is freshly made! The service is outstanding, with a warm and welcoming ambiance.
A heartfelt shout-out to the staff for their incredible kindness towards my children! Not only did they cater to their preferences (even cooking my son's eggs just the way he likes them), but they also took the time to engage and entertain them throughout our visit. The owner even painted my daughterâs nails! Their efforts truly make you feel like part of the family, and that is very important to me.
Thank you so much for a memorable experience at The Deli! We hope to visit...
