Ordered four cocktails for us. Was happy to see the great variation of drinks and ok prices. Was also happy to see how tasty the drinks looked as they arrived. Let me however explain to you what left us with the worst anticlimax ever. The Mai Tai had no pineapple, no grenadine, no lime juice and no orange Curacao. It was dark purple with fancy ice pieces. I had to Google it, can it look like that? The Strawberry Daquiri looked like one but tasted like a slush with no sugar. No lime juice and no - not even the slightest - taste of rum. The Piña Colada - oh my gosh - it was an insult to all the other ones, even the ones in a bottle. I can't even be bothered to explain, it was just too bad. Finally, my drink is what you can see at the front of the picture. It's a caipirinhia. A brown one, with a piece of lime but with no taste of cachaca. I asked for more cachaca and they didn't really understand what I wanted but they added some rum. We asked politely to pay and I told the manager about my concerns. He responded in a very unprofessional way and although I showed him pics of like 256 different kinds of Mai Tai on Google he said they surely can look like ours. He had never had complains before and obviously we were being difficult customers. He was deeply insulted. We paid and left - feeling guilty for not being happy customers. Hopefullly the food is a better...
Read moreThe food was immaculate. So so good. Amazing flavor and quality. We did have a strange experience however which we wanted to share to give others a head's up to be aware. I don't often write reviews but wanted to share this as I found it really weird.
We went three times during our holiday and shared the exact same meal each time. Each time we went, they charged us progressively more for the exact same main course.
We found it very odd that we went from being charged 23 euro (the listed price on the menu) for a cut of steak on the first night that we split to having the exact same item ordered off the menu and being stuck with a bill for 60 euro for the same menu item on the third night.
This was really weird and off-putting for us, as it was the exact same meat, ordered off the same menu, and the same amount of grams of meat ordered and we always shared it and made it clear that was our intention when ordering. I spoke in Spanish with them so this isn't a language barrier issue. The owner took our order himself the last night so this has nothing to do with the staff who were absolutely lovely.
The food was truly excellent, but please be clear up front with them what you plan to order and ask for clear pricing as they're not consistent or...
Read moreThis was BY FAR the best restaurant we visited in Mallorca during our one-week stay, and the best meat I have ever eaten in Europe - and as I was born in South America, my standards for meat are pretty high.
From the beginning, we were greeted by the owner, Pepe, who asked us where we would prefer to sit. Since the day was warm enough, we chose to sit outside. He and the waiters were really friendly in all interactions, always checking if we needed anything.
I chose an Angus Entrecôte, and as mentioned before, this was by far the best meat I’ve had in Europe. It was cooked in the traditional Uruguayan way (Parrilla), so needless to say, it had a really nice smoked flavor. The seasoning was perfect, and the steak was indeed medium, just as I had asked. You can clearly see that Pepe knows what he's doing.
At the end of our meal, Pepe showed us how he prepared the meat and explained how he managed to create such delicious dishes.
Now, I’ll have to come back every year to enjoy a proper Asado in Europe.
Don't get scammed going to Port D'alcudia and pay expensive for not so good meals - this is a must when in Alcudia and region.
Best restaurant, best people, and really good prices. I highly recommend this place...
