We stumbled across osteria on our walk through Alcudia old town and decided to look at the menu. The food sounded good, but tasted even better. it was the best food we’ve had on our whole trip to Mallorca. I’ve included a picture of our plates at the end to prove how much we enjoyed it. To start, the service was amazing. Very kind and very friendly staff who were always smiling and welcomed us. The atmosphere was wonderful. We sat outdoors and felt like a scene out of a movie (and it’s also nice for people watching because lots of people walk by but it was not noisy at all and the slight bustle of people was actually very enjoyable). To top it all off, the dinner we had was 10/10. However, I personally do not drink alcohol so I have no idea what the wine/drink choices were like. I’m also pescatarian so I did not try any sort of protein and went for a fully veggie option. The menu catered for my dietary choices and there was many options to choose from. Read moreWe have been visiting Alcudia at least once a year since 2015 and this restaurant has consistently been among our top eating experiences. This trip was no exception with a lovely dinner last night and a light lunch today before we leave the island.
For dinner we enjoyed the famous focaccia, with the equally famous seafood spaghetti and a Diavola pizza. All were generously served and very tasty. The calamari in the seafood spaghetti (so hard to get right) was tender and perfectly cooked. The selection of Italian and local wines is fairly priced. We enjoyed the Lugano Rose.
For lunch in the garden today, we enjoyed the focaccia again, with the carpaccio and the mozzarella and tomato salad. All perfect.
Despite the heat today, the garden was cool with fans and shade and the atmosphere was very pleasant.
We will keep coming back, looking forward to seeing the excellent staff again and enjoying top Italian/Mallorcian hospitality. Would recommend.

Read moreAuthentic italian... far from it. We were sat in the corner in the garden, great location in the centre of town. We thought we'd come here as the reviews said it was an authentic italian restaurant. It was a busy night, but service was appalling. Firstly, the only draught beers available was Amstel (NOT italian). We ordered a focaccia, when it arrived, it was clearly not a focaccia - it was a margarita pizza with no cheese. It took 40 minutes for our mains to arrive, in that time not one waiter asked if we wanted another drink and multiple other tables were served before us. When my zucchini spaghetti FINALLY arrived, it was the furthest thing from al dente possible. Any self-respecting Italian would never serve this. The parmesan was dryer than my nans ashes, and my partners mortadella pizza tasted like nothing...
