Wow - where do I begin? This was truly the worst meal I've ever eaten in Spain.
I. The waiter spilled a glass of beer on my friend. We felt that this was simply bad luck - however, this foreshadowed what was to come. Whilst an apology was made, no replacement table cloth was brought out. My friend was left to accommodate himself, pulling over another unoccupied table.
II. The food was disgusting. The patatas bravas was cold, with a tiny portion of 'bravas' sauce. The Spanish omelette was both cold and bland. The cod was unrecognisable when compared with any other cod experience I've had. I thought that 5 tapas for €22 looked like a good deal, but frankly, I wouldn't feed this muck to my dog, and I have had to stop her eating some pretty grim things before. Spaghetti carbonara looked like spaghetti mixed with double cream and some separately cooked bacon.
III. They tried to MASSIVELY overcharge us. Fortunately we inspected the bill and were in disbelief at the amount of items they had added on. The staff tried to play this off as an innocent mistake, but your guess is as good as mine as to how some expensive spirits can magically appear on the receipt. A new receipt was promptly brought out, almost as if it was on standby in the event of us realising their attempts to deceive us.
IV. The service took ages. Took 10 minutes for them to ask us what we want to drink, and another 15 minutes after that before they brought them to our table. 5 pints of beer and a bottle of wine should not take this long.
DO NOT eat here, complete rip off and terrible...

I cannot give less than 1 star but I would. The food is horrible. Tapas are not fresh, calamari is not calamari (son rabas) choricitos were socked in olive oil and soggy, padron peppers had no flavour and the meatballs, OMG! Straight from a can, tomato sauce from another can, not real minced meat it tastes plastic. Only one waiter came to ask how things were and we told him the meatballs were pretty bad, so he kindly deducted them from the bill but quite honestly I wouldn't have paid for anything. Even the Sangria was too strong, too dark and using mega cheap wine, and usually, it is a cheap wine but this time was even below the bar Expensive for what it is, Service was good but, obviously, too fast only means is pre-cooked and canned food...so decide for yourselves but I would say: avoid going there, you will have better dinners by the port (June...

In Alcudia old town, all the restaurants are much of a muchness - same tapas, same paella, same few Italian and burger options. It is what it is - tourist hot-spot.
With that being said, we had a really lovely lunch and were served by a really super friendly waiter who was great with the children in the group too.
He told us they had some specials today, including chicken croquettes which were home made, and he made a point to say the rest on the menu weren't. We also ordered the special of the burrata with prawn salad, and the offer of the half price tapas selection which is kind of like a bento box of tapas for one person.
Will Michelin be calling? Nah. Was it tasty and all served as expected? Yep! Not every dining experience has to be some life changing thing, but it was really great food that we enjoyed, and filled us up.
The pamboli and padron peppers were especially tasty!
We would definitely...
