Patagonia — Restaurant in Alcúdia

I was a repeat customer, buying things here multiple times a day as it was across the street from me. Today I came back to get something and they didn’t acknowledge what I wanted to order that day, put a price on the computer, and said I didn’t pay yesterday. They started acting super randomly rude and aggressive and I was so confused- they acted like I intentionally stole something lol, when I am buying things from them like 4 times a day. The girl/ barista working behind the counter was literally awful- terrible behavior for no reason. Maybe in Spain it’s normal to “steal” so they assume that I’m some thief (lol, after paying them 4 times a day for many days). Anyway funny thing is—- My bank showed that I had indeed paid so I’m not sure what they were on about. I also told them it’s their job to be on track and on top of these things and make sure the customer pays when they purchase; if they don’t charge me or keep track of the payments it’s not really on me as a customer as much as it’s on them. They acted like I’m not a recurring customer paying multiple times a day and like I tried to rob their whole restaurant lol- it was so bizarre and unnecessarily aggressive and dramatic. If I were in their position, I would have approached the customer politely and said, “Hey, I think I might have forgotten to charge you yesterday! Do you mind to check your bank account with me and pay if you didn’t pay? Thank you :)”. Easy, simple. Anyway their food isn’t good anyway. Most bland tortilla I ever had with zero sauce or even option for salt and pepper, just a side of cheap tomatoes that tasted like nothing. Liebes Patagonia Team, euer Cafe ist optisch hübsch anzusehen und wirkt gerade für junge Menschen sehr modern und einladend. Ich bin ab und an mal in einem eurer Cafes, meist um etwas kühles oder warmes zu trinken. Damit euer Service noch besser werden kann möchte ich ein ehrliches und faires Feedback geben. Als Kaffeeliebhaberin muss ich sagen, bin ich jedes Mal sehr enttäuscht von der Kaffee-Qualität vor Ort. Ihr hab in allen Geschäften eine exzellente Maschine stehen, jedoch schmeckt der Kaffee wirklich nicht gut. Ich bestelle zu 90% einen Cappuccino, mit der Hoffnung, dass er endlich von jemanden besser zubereitet wird, jedoch ist es immer die gleiche Enttäuschung. Ich habe selbst mehrere Jahre als Barista gearbeitet und daher möchte ich meine Erfahrung für eine gute Entwicklung an das Hause Patagonia mitgeben. Bei meiner letzten Bestellung "Cappuccino zum Mitnehmen" vor 2 Wochen am Hafen von Alcudia, wurde seitens Servicekraft die Milch mit einem kleinen 3€ Hand-Milchaufschäumer aufgeschäumt und ist nicht warm gewesen, obwohl eine funktionierende tolle Kaffeemaschine dort stand wurde diese nicht genutzt. Somit war die Qualität natürlich bereits nicht die, die ich bei einem Cappuccino erwarte. Ebenfalls auch sehr wichtig die Frage, ob der Kunde Kakaopulver/Schokoladen-syrup auf dem Cappuccino haben möchte hat gefehlt und er wurde ungefragt drauf gemacht. Dies gehört nicht auf einen Cappuccino, da beim rühren der Kaffee sofort nach Kakao schmeckt, hätte ich einen Kaffee mit schokolade haben wollen, dann hätte ich direkt einen Caffe mocha bestellt. Bei meiner Rückfrage, ob Sie das bitte nicht drauf machen kann wirkte die Servicekraft leider etwas genervt und antwortete mir unfreundlich "dann hätten Sie keinen Cappuccino bestellen sollen, der ist immer mit Kakaopuler/Schokosyrup". Sehr schade aus meiner Sicht. Ich habe nicht darauf geantwortet und den Kaffee bezahlt, den Laden verlassen und die beiden Kaffees in den Müll geschmissen, da der Geschmack leider sehr schlecht gewesen ist. Das Cafe Patagonia hat eigentlich ein gutes Potenzial, ich würde mir wünschen, dass die Mitarbeiter für die Kaffeezubereitung besser...

Mediocre Empanadas at Patagonia. 😕

I had high hopes for the empanadas at Patagonia, but unfortunately, they were just average. The filling lacked seasoning, and the pastry was a bit dry—not the authentic, flavorful experience I was expecting.

While the atmosphere was nice and the service was decent, the food itself didn’t stand out. With so many great places to eat in Mallorca, I’d probably try somewhere else next time.
