Restaurante Chino Don Chon — Restaurant in Alcúdia

I am looking for a Chinese I took to Google for some influence and see what other parties have thought of places. This one and another came up. Being in the area, I thought we would check it out. After turning up, the place was empty, which concerned me as it was after 6 pm. So I walk to the other one around the corner. Which was dead, too, and I thought I would go back to this one based on more reviews and the same rating.

As we entered as a party of 2.5 (0.5 being our 1 year old), we were greeted by an older gentleman who said sit here, which was halfway in from the restaurant on the outside part. Which was fine.

After sitting down, we asked for a highchair for our daughter and reviewed the menu. My expectations were some dim sum, Cantonese style beef, egg fried rice, and vegetable noodles.

No dim sum and Cantonese style meal. Which was oh! Then we looked over the menu and agreed with no starters and went for 2 meals.

When we ordered the kids' meal, they were concerned about the chicken batter balls for our daughter. We said we would strip the batter. They had a genuine concern and said they would do fillet chicken instead. Which I had to admit was not expected and very nice of them. The older gent was definitely kid friendly and liked children as he gave our daughter some attention as well as other children in the place as more people came in (another 3 parties).

Meal arrived, and we tucked in. The beef in hot sauce was really nice with the combination of carrots, peppers, and onions. Just enough heat to compliment this. The sweet and sour were great. It's not too sweet and just right. Egg fried rice and noodles you can't go wrong with.

It was a lovely meal to have. Our daughter enjoyed the chicken fillets cut up for her.

The price paid was €38.40 which was £32.49. It 2as a steal, and I was very surprised how cheap this was.

I would recommend this to others to try and tell me otherwise am I wrong?

Very bad food. Never had such a horrible Chinese food before. We ordered fried rice with beef, fried rice with shrimp, chicken corn soup, chicken mushroom soup and mixed vegetables. None of the dishes were up to the minimum standard. When we gave feedback about food quality none of the staffs said a single sorry about this instead they just ignored us. When it was time for Bill payment, someone just came with the bill, took the money and somehow escaped without talking. Seems they thought no need to talk with these tourists as they are one time customer. It was a waste of money and time. To be honest, I personally love to eat Chinese food. Wherever i go always try to find some Chinese restaurent. But this particular restaurent was the worst. We read a lot of positive reviews and decided to eat here, but it was total disappointment! The food was bad. We've got pork in bittersweet sause and other meat in almonds. I've couldn't understand if it was pork, other meat or piece of what, very deep fried in old oil and with sause from the bottle that you can buy anywhere. Another dish wasn't any better.
