Barq Restaurante — Restaurant in Alicante

The restaurant is on the site of the museum. Being on a Saturday the restaruant was very busy. A lot of dirty tables and staff were a bit overwhelmed so service was a bit slow.

The food were not bad but the issue was the beef burger that I ordered - it was pink in the middle, which suggested that the beef patty was undercooked and raw. I'm not sure if in Spain this was acceptable but in the UK it was against food safety. I told the waiter but he didn't even apologise. He took it back to the kitchen so that chef could cook it more.

Please don't expect fancy food and excellent service from this restaurant. It is just handy if you...

2a REEDITO MI REVIEW. Ustedes o la persona que escribe no tiene vergüenza. No aceptan las críticas cómo he podido leer en otras reseñas, de hecho ataca a los clientes. Y su comentario no dice más que mentiras. No nos hemos comido el arroz a banda, lo hemos dejado en los platos cómo bien saben (de hecho 1 de las camareras hizo el comentario de que se la haría probar en cocina) y el otro arroz que estaba sin tocar en la paella nos la hemos llevado sí! Y qué pasa?? La hemos pagado. Lo que hagamos con la paella no es de su incumbencia. Respecto a su comentario de la rebaja: en qué momento hemos pedido un descuento? EN NINGUNA. Y ese comentario de “no sabe decirlo a la primera cucharada, para que se le cambie”. Qué falta de respeto hacia los clientes de verdad. Decepción total con su comentario. 1a REVIEW. Los entrantes estaban bien: ensalada con tomates, atún, anchoa, cebolla, alcaparras y piparras; parrillada de verduras, pan con tomate y allioli y tallinas. Luego hemos pedido dos arroces. La verdad que el arroz no estaba bueno y lo hemos hecho saber a las camareras. Y a partir de ahí el servicio ha empezado a menguar. Nos han traído la cuenta sin ni siquiera decirnos si queríamos postres o café ni saber qué postres habían con el menú. We went to this place during midday The inside is ventilated, and well lit The bathrooms are for one person only, but I did not have any issues and they even had baby changing tables and special amenities for hindered people The food was great and arrived in around 15-20 minutes before ordering, although the menu would need a tiny bit more drinks i.e water/soda beverages, and the cheese they used for the burger wasn't very fresh I would recommend this, as the prices are reasonable for one or two visits...
