A place where local wannabe Gs and dole lovers rock up to pump out garbage at full volume on their bluetooth speakers, whilst looking for the next thing they can steal so they don't have to work next week.
Come here for;
Wannabe Gs wearing fake gold watches, looking like a Lookie Lookie mans walking manakin doll, dressed in as much fake designer gear as they possibly can, who probably drive 20year old BMWs when they've stolen enough tourist gear to fuel it.
Girls who like the above, rocking as much filler as their robbing boyfriend can supply them with and clad in EmPOORio Armarni, or whatever else is getting sold off the pavement, spending the entire day dancing to the s hite bluetooth speakers whilst looking around to check they are getting attention
Scroats who are far too old, doing the same as above sat on every other bench, somehow attracting American tourists who randomly want to photograph them
Americans like,who like, feel the need like,to like, use the word "like" as a like, punctuation, like whose every like sentence,like, appears like, to have more "like"s in like, than like, other like, words in the like,actual like,sentence. Like
It's basically Spains answer to Benidorm with more theft
It goes without saying DO NOT LEAVE YOUR STUFF UNATTENDED, even the...
Read morePlaya del Postiguet is lovely, the water is very warm in the summer when we went. The temperature of the water went up to 25°C and when we went in for the first time, we were amazed!
There is water fountains in the exit so that you can water down your shoes or feet if you have lots of sand on them.
Parking is quite of a tricky one because there is not a lot of parking spaces. There is parking, but you'll be lucky to find a spot because when I walked along, there were no free spaces and there was a long queue and people beeping their car horns.
The sand on the beach is really hot and is quite tricky to walk on.
Near the end of the beach on the right side, the water seems to get dirty for some reason. If you more further to the left, the water becomes more clearer and better to swim in.
Yesterday when we went to the beach, (10/08/24) there was lots of jellyfish in the water. They were dead jellyfish, but watch out for them because they still might sting you. (I don't really know how it works, but just giving you a warning.)
Conclusion: The beach is a nice warm place in the city of Alicante, the water is really warm and you have to watch out for jellyfish! I really recommend this beach if you are in Alicante or coming here for a visit, it is a...
Read moreWe recently visited Alicante (January 2023) and whilst there we took a short stroll on the 900mt Postiguet beach located in the heart of the city. The blue flag beach was busy with groups, families, couples and solo visitors enjoying picnics. The sand was golden and soft without any litter or rocks, and the sea appeared calm. From the beach there were views of the Mount Benacantil mountain and the Santa Bárbara Castle.
The facilities at the beach included locker hire and toilets. During the warmer months it's possible to hire umbrellas, sunbeds and hammocks. Parallel to the beach is the quirky tiled promenade lined with cafes, palm trees and a night market in the summer. There was a lively atmosphere with street entertainers and music.
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the beach, bur our visit to Alicante was brief. Hence we didn't get to explore the shopping centres, a market at Avenida Alfonso El Sabio,10, 03004, the Cathedral, Parc de L'Ereta, or St Mary of Alicante (16th-century Catholic Basilica). We will definitely be returning to visit the facilities surrounding the Marina, the museums (MACA contemporary art museum, the archaeological museum and the Ocean Race sailing museum) and the medieval fortress at Mount Benacantil (Santa...
