Cervecería Layton — Restaurant in Alicante

Cerveceria Layton is a fantastic spot to experience authentic Spanish cuisine in Alicante. Right in front of the counter, there's a display showcasing the available dishes, making it easy to choose. The small portions allow you to sample several dishes, which, combined with the incredibly attractive prices, makes it a great value. The experienced chefs clearly know what they’re doing, and it’s evident from the fact that the place is frequented by locals. The restaurant offers a wide variety of regional dishes, and the smiling staff warmly welcomes each customer, making you feel right at home.

On the downside, there's no English menu available, and during both of our visits, the waitress forgot one of the dishes we ordered—though it wasn't a big issue. The standout dishes for us were the tripe, cod, and cheesecake, all of which were delicious. While the interior is a bit small and lacks atmosphere, the amazing Spanish food more than makes up for it. It’s easily become our favorite spot in Alicante!

Great truly authentic spanish tapas bar with inexpensive food and drink. Some english spoken if that is your bag. I prefer use spanish. Very friendly staff. They also remember what you drink even if you not visit for months. Wish i could say the same for uk pubs. Worth a visit but would avoid lunchtime as is small place and the locals flock there. An excellent traditional tapas bar with good quality food, inexpensive beer and good quality wine. Quite a big range of dishes. Popular with locals and visitors. We used to go here before getting the C6 bus to the airport. Then we forgot where it was and couldn't find it again, then found it again after a few years.
