Kitagawa — Restaurant in Alicante

3 stars because small portions, long waiting time and the dessert included in the menu was a joke. Otherwise, the flavour was pretty intense. I guess it depends on your personal preference.

I decided to go for the menu since it seemed like a deal, but I wouldn't say it was a good value. I didn't have sushi, but ramen was the best dish out of these we've chosen. Yakisoba wasn't great, the pork was a no. Gyoza was deep fried but juicy on the inside and tasted nice.

There is only one person operating the restaurant, so everything takes ages and the serving seems to be categorized. So if several tables order ramen, all the ramen dishes are served together, then all the rice dishes etc. Waiting times in between are very long, so either eat it by yourself or have it cold if you want to wait until your friends get their food.

The food is fantastic and very affordable, especially considering the quality. My girlfriend and I loved the very flavourful ramen and miso soup.

The menu doesn't have many options and for a couple of dishes you have to call a day in advance which shows the care that goes into preparing the meals here.

However, eating at this place also comes with long waiting times and an average service, as the chef is the only one preparing everything at the front of the restaurant.

Overall it was a very nice and authentic experience, however I would not recommend eating here if you're in a rush and/or you're looking for a more 'polished'...

Yo al contrario que todos, hemos empezado mal y hemos terminado peor, tenía mesa reservada y nada más que entrar, nos han tenido 20 minutos, sin ofrecernos nada, hemos tenido que pedir por favor que nos trajeran unas cervezas, porque teníamos sed, y hasta que no han pasado 20 minutos más, el camarero ni se ha acercado a la mesa, por cierto que solo había un camarero, para toda la sala, y el chef, o mejor dicho cocinero, el cual estaba muy entretenido, hablando con unos clientes que tenía delante de su cocina/barra y cocinando la vez. En la sala solo habían cuatro mesas de personas y el resto estaba vacío, han tardado otros 20 minutos en traernos la primera entrada, y así sucesivamente hasta que nos han traído el resto, que han sido 1 menu y 5 platos, lo único que estaba bueno era el sushi de salmón y de atún, el ramen no valía nada, estaba soso y los fideos chinos que llevaban, son vulgarmente dicho en mi pueblo, espaguetis. nos han servido un plato de arroz con ternera que estaba reseca y arrugada que venía con el menú, el cuál era muy escaso. Hemos tenido que pedir por favor, que nos trajeran unos cubiertos, y la bebida, varias veces, el camarero era más lento que una mula y no ponía interés alguno, en traernos lo que pedíamos por favor varias veces, y el cocinero en cuestión tiene el ego demasiado alto y no lo vale. La comida ha sido un aburrimiento porque no tenían vino bueno, hemos tenido que comer con agua y con cerveza, hartos de esperar tanto, no, hemos pedido ni los postres ni café solo queríamos la cuenta y pagar y marcharnos. Posdata: si tenéis algún enemigo recomendarle este sitio y por último, he tenido que ponerle una estrella porque si no el Google no me deja...
