Liberty Kitchen — Restaurant in Alicante

Many locals who live in Spain and Alicante take the tram or drive just to go and visit Liberty Kitchen on a regular basis. My wife and I are food lovers from San Francisco and like many expats who have moved to Alicante for over 3 years we enjoy the food variety of the BBQ Lamb kabobs Poppers, Philly Cheestake, Fresh Seafood and Salmon, Great Wines and Cold Beer on top and the amazing desserts like homeade Key Lime Cheesecake and Chocalate cake. As always the atmosphere, excellent service from the experienced wait staff as well as the Owner Michael who is actively involved and makes sure the menu is prepared perfectly for the customers on a daily basis. We love having lunch or dinner here and has become a local hangout whenever we visit. Unlike a negative review by Hawaiian travelers Chris Krupa and bashed Liberty Kitchen, this little gem near the Lucerous Plaza tram stop and is in NO WAY a Tourist trap and does a great job catering to locals and expats who want to get away from the daily Spain Spanish menu of tapas, paealla and rice dishes. And since Liberty Kitchen has been open the last 12 years, there is a reason why they are successful in catering to the locals and Expats living nearby in Alicante Centro or Playa San Juan. You always make us feel special whenever we dine, visit or just to say hello when we walk by your restaurant and it's no wonder WHY we keep coming back to enjoy the excellent...

Just had a great lunch! We arrived kinda late (even for spanish standards), around 15:00. The food was great (quesadilla, croquettas de jamon, taco de pulpo, liberty burger, and the toblerone cheesecake), all very well flavoured and tasty, good plating. The only thing i felt maybe dissappointed by was the toblerone cheesecake, as it is a great and creative idea that i hoped was worked out a bit more: maybe mix in some of the toasted nuts or maybe a simple caramel already with the cheesecake mix before putting it in the oven? The staff was kind and friendly, willing to chat but still proffessional. The interior was fun, with many little interesting things around, informal but warm and welcoming. If i were to give any feedback it would be that our burger was more on the rare side than medium rare (but i was still happy with it so i did not complain), the coffee machine might want to be recallibrated a bot as the coffee tasted a little burnt (yet still by far the best coffee i had in Spain, so again, no...

Que buena experiencia y cuanto hemos disfrutado hoy en LIBERTY KITCHEN! !

Hoy junto a mi equipazo comercial hemos podido por fin gozar en la calle Poeta Quintana de Alicante de una muy buena comida en ese American Bistro que muchos ya conocéis.

Habíamos reservado hace una semana y puntuales acudimos a la cita. Empiezo destacando lo bien que nos han atendido y es que la camarera chilena que nos atendió fue muy maja, muy atenta y una verdadera profesional; nos aconsejó nada más llegar muy bien, nos describió con mucho mimo los platos de la carta y no le faltó una sonrisa en ningún momento, preocupándose de que todo estuviera ok. Igualmente desde la cocina Michael salió para preguntarnos al acabar por cómo había estado todo y nos hizo sentir muy agusto.

Como siempre estaba lleno pero se nota que lo tienen todo bajo control porque los tiempos fueron estupendos.

La comida una maravilla todo, no hay plato que nos haya dejado indiferentes , muy buenas elaboraciones , gran calidad de producto y combinaciones exitosas de ingredientes .

Comenzamos con unos entrantes a compartir:

Chicken fingers con salsa búfalo unos y otros con salsa infierno. Buen tamaño de raciones y espectaculares salsas.

Ensalada de Salmón con el pescado al punto, alubias, maíz, bacon, cebolla, tortilla crispy, lechuga. ..Muy rica y diferente.

Wantun de atún muy sabroso, duró poco en la mesa y eso es por algo.

Aceitunas especiales de la casa.

Aperitivo de chorizo, queso, galletita salada y picos.

Todo ello fue acompañado de un platito de habaneros rojos y verdes espectaculares, superpicantes y que nos hicieron sudar, aunque sobraron unos cuantos ja ja ja. Tremendos.

Después cada uno un principal:

Liberty Burger, una gran hamburguesa de gran calidad con cheddar, bacon, lechuga, tomate, 1000 islas. Fue lo que yo comí y puedo asegurar que si, es una de las mejores hamburguesas de Alicante sin duda alguna.

Beer Burger : la otra hamburguesa, brutal también y con mucho guiño a la cerveza, con ingredientes confitados en una cerveza de USA y que gustó mucho.

Quesadilla de Gamba con pico de gallo, chipotle, guacamole, jalapeño, comino ... Buena ración y que le moló mucho a quien la disfrutó.

California Fish Taco, un taco de merluza con tintes picantes muy especial y que también gustó a los dos que lo comieron.

Para acabar un postre de cada, una tarta de cada, una cheesecake de toblerone, una de calabaza y otra cheesecake de arándanos. Increíbles las 3 , de las que enamoran y enganchan y en especial la de toblerone ,que nunca había probado. Muy buenas.

De beber refrescos , cerveza y alguna copa de vino blanco y tinto.

Disfrutado y muy bien para seguir la jornada de tarde. Todo por 170 para 7, muy bien.
