We love this restaurant and we come here every time we come to Alicante. We have been to multiple restaurants all over Spain, and this seem to have the best paella ever. However, today we felt very disappointed from the host. They said they had no tables apart from the high table by the bar, which we reluctantly accepted despite seeing multiple empty tables. After ordering, we asked again to another waiter if it was possible to move to a normal table, and she thought there was one inside we could move to. However, the host again said no. After this, another couple come in and get assigned to another high table behind us, and as they didn’t like it and preferred to sit outside in one of the empty tables, they went to the host to ask to change table and the host said yes. This was very unfair and disappointing for us customers witnessing all of this whilst being denied the same thing. So at that point I was furious and had to confront him and said that wasn’t fair. I was about to leave the restaurant but he finally then moved us to a table outside and again, there were plenty of free tables all the time during our stay there. In summary the food is great and our waiters who served the food were nice and friendly, but please ensure to book in advance otherwise you’ll be turned away despite them having free...
Read morePaella was nice but a bit salty , I had the one with the lobster. The fried anchovies were ok, the location is really nice and the prices are reasonable . I would have given it a 5 if it wasn’t for the service. I came in for a table on my own and the host told me I have to sit inside , no tables outside despite having many empty tables outside. I asked him how long is the wait , he said 45 min so I chose to wait. 5 min later he found a table outside. Then the staff were so rushed , didn’t speak English , didn’t try to understand and was in a rush to get everyone done and out . I appreciate that it is a hot location and they want to turn things around but feeling so hurried while...
