The food was very good and our waiter was excellent, but my overall experience was ruined by the behaviour of a manager. As I was waiting at the front for my partner to come from the restroom to finish his drink, a female manager with dark hair, dark eye makeup and a black manager t-shirt came at me with an unnecessary amount of attitude. She placed her hand on me and shouted “SIR” as if I was about to leave with a glass. I explained immediately that I was only waiting and had no intention of leaving, but she never apologized. Instead, she laughed and giggled with her colleagues in Spanish, which I found extremely rude and unprofessional. She continued to say she didn’t understand where my attitude was coming from.

Read more--Delicious Paella, Great View, Charming Manager-- Kiosco Miramar is a pretty spot on the Alicante Promenade with ocean view and historic Santa Barbara Castle on the hill just behind. I was there for Arroz Abanda (seafood paella featuring shrimp and calamari), but a big storm was blowing in and the manager said he was just going to close the kitchen. “It's my last night in Alicante 😥,” I said, “Where else can I get Arroz Abanda?” Suddenly he smiled warmly, it seemed that his heart melted, and he made me delicious Arroz Abanda while the napkins and even some chairs were blowing away. He also brought the most wonderful vermouth with it. In Spain, always ask what drink goes best with the dish you order, I've enjoyed...
Read moreWe were on a cruise trip and during our day in Alicante had some time to grab some lunch. While walking around the beach we notice this busy little restaurant with food that looked excellent. We wanted to sit outside, but all tables were occupied We request a table inside and I am so glad we did. We ordered the fried anchovies, the octopus a la gallega and the fish and chips. In addition we ordered the red sangría. The food was good and fresh and the most important and pleasant part was the customer service, our server Alex was very attentive despite how busy he was, and Diosa was very pleasant and took her time to greet us and ask if everything was good. We will definitely return and recommend this little beach spot to our family...
