Just finished a meal at this restaurant. Was very disappointed in the experience. If i could give the experience 0 stars i would. Only giving atmosphere a higher star rating for the placement of the restaurant. In a beautiful square looking at thr back of a cathedral with palm trees very pretty and lots of people with music. The restaurant itself didn't have a very good atmosphere. We ordered a chicken and vegetable paella to share amongst 3 people with some French fries. The French fries were the only nice thing. The paella was far too salty to continue eating and the chicken had full bones through it which was very surprising to come across in a dish, very off putting having to pull bones out of your meal to continue eating. We ordered cocktails which were quite nice, very watery and full of ice. We finished our food and the table was left with dirty dishes for over 30 minutes after we finished our meal. We were not the only table as there were many tables all finished food waiting on their tables to be cleared aswell. And we thought maybe they don't have a lot of staff but they had alot of waiters walking around the tables ignoring the fact they were all finished. We eventually got the attention of a waiter to ask for the bill to which he responded saying he would get it right away. 10 minutes later and after seeing that same waiter still serving other tables we asked another waiter for the bill. Another few minutes go by and we ask another waiter. After another 30 minutes and asking 6 DIFFERENT WAITERS for the bill we decided to get up and start to pack up to walk away. We were then noticed walking away and a member of staff said I hope everything was OK to which we stated we have not paid for the food as we have asked 6 different waiters for the bill and waiting over 30 minutes to pay for our food so we are leaving as we have other places to be and are very unhappy. He then moved very quickly to get us the bill at that point. We will not be going back to this restaurant as the service was atrocious. Half the waiters especially the manager never smiled and looked like they would rather be anywhere else. We thought to try this restaurant as the one beside it called Medina L'Antiga was amazing for food and service so we thought this may be the same but we were unfortunately mistaken! Would not recommend this place at all!

People say pictures say it all. However, the awfulness of this restaurant seems not enough to be presented by only pictures and videos. People, don’t be fooled by this tourist trap. Firstly, we found an uninvited guest inside our food. I’m 100% sure it’s not part of seafood. Even worse it looked like a cockroach. 🤢 Secondly, this restaurant is owned (or at least managed) by the same people who are also managing the other restaurants around it. You could either check reviews and location pictures of all restaurants around it before you go or just save yourself don’t bother going there at all. Thirdly, the staff was super friendly when you just came to get you seats so you don’t have time to be carefully search and read Google review. But once you found the🪳looking animal in your food (at least for my case), it would be very hard to ask them to come even just to ask for the bill. They seemed pretending not to see our high waving hands. I had to approach them and asking for our bills. And when we showed them what’s on our plate🪳, no apologies or what so ever!!! 😵‍💫 Just reasons reasons. 🤯 Fourthly, Paella is charged per person with minimum 2 people but the portion is enough for only 1 skinny person. 🙄 The container is big but it’s not even filled half of it!!! What a scam!! Let me and the other people who went there be their victims. Just save yourself and don’t bother to go there.

The best paella ever! Do I need to say more? Probably yes, there are a few more amazing points: probably the friendliest service in all of Alicante, an amazing wine selection (especially the marqués de cáceres Rioja red wine), fresh aioli and clearly fresh ingredients in all their food. The prices are generally €1.5 more expensive per item than elsewhere, but the reason really is because the total service and quality is a big step up from other places in the wide area. Definitely worth your visit, especially if you want lovely paella with the perfect moisture, great amount of seafood and fish or chicken and that with beautifully selectors complimentary wines, all served on a lovely picturesque Spanish mini plaza with palm trees and authentic houses.

Avoid Avoid Avoid.

How very disappointing..

As we were approaching this little tapas bar there where many strange Spanish youths beckoning you in. One appeared to have had his eyebrows waxed into a strange shape and a clump of hair stuck under his chin. The tables were pretty much filled and still they wanted more people in. However the two lonely waiters that were serving did everything in their power to avoid you.

Their big deal was ten tapas for €30. Or a mixed fish one for €40. Reasonable I remember thinking.

However we had to wait nearly ten minutes for someone to take our drinks order. My wife asked if they had a wine list. Not unreasonable I thought. They had red, white or rose. No choice though. So we ordered a bottle of red.

We had to beg the female waitress for a menu and by the time we had imbibed the full bottle of red no one had visited to take our food order. Which was pretty much the same for every other table.

So we paid and left. I always make sure to tip for service. However since I got no service I left no tip. That pretty much sums up the place. No service, and if you scan read reviews I finish as I started. Avoid,...
