Vagabond — Restaurant in Alicante

Let me preface this with I’m from California, I’ve had some of the best Al Pastor you could imagine in San Diego and LA. The flavors from Vagabond instantly bring back those memories.

Not surprisingly it’s slightly different, but my wife and I literally devoured everything.

The marinade on the Al Pastor is spot on, good spice and not overly sweet.

This is legitimately the best taco I’ve had in 3 years in the EU. If you’re looking for that taste of home, it will be everything you’ve wanted.

Just as impressive was the falafel hummus plate. Some of the best falafel I’ve had, hummus perfectly balanced and nice bites of acid from the pickles and pickled onions.

Finally the Al Pastor fries would have been at home off any food truck in LA. The avacoado crema pairs perfectly with the Al Pastor, Fries, raw onion and cilantro. Just an amazing combo.

The food isn't too bad although the pork was too dry and there was not enough sauce on it. Not sure if it was worth the money. Management is the worst. You expect to be served fast as they claim to be a street food place but we had to wait a lot, and missed our bus home. There were about 5 staff but only one girl was preparing the food and others not doing much whilst we waited to be served. When we asked when we would get our order, we were told there was a big order which had to be served before us and they would compensate our wait by offering free hummus. Needless to say, the hummus never arrived. The 2 stars is for the hard working girl preparing the boxes but I won't...

We were in search of a quick lunch and decided to give this place a try as we were passing by. We ordered tacos al pastor, bread, and fries 🍟. Unfortunately, both the bread and fries left me disappointed, tasting like industrial food without any added value for the relatively high price. On the positive side, the tacos 🌮 were good.

While the staff was friendly, they weren't very helpful when we inquired about anything beyond the menu, limiting our choices. The overall ambiance, including the tables, didn't particularly appeal to me. Considering the elevated price, my expectations were not met. I wouldn't recommend this place as there are better...
