Curry and Tandoori - Fusion 22 — Restaurant in Antigua

Absolutely shocking experience. I arrived late at night to the resort and it was my first time here and this was the first place I found,oh dear what a mistake. I ordered chicken tika masala and a starter. They brought the main before i had finished the starter and then brought it back without clearing the plates. We'll it was disgusting, it was like they had poured heinz tomato soup into a bowl mixed with a few processed frozen chicken cubes that some restaurants use. It was like sick and completely tastless. The chef came out of the kitchen and I told him it was the worst curry I had ever had and had much better out of a jar which that probably was anyway . His reply was I should of asked for spices in it in which I replied are you having a laugh. I then said I don't want anything for free and am not trying it on I'm just giving you my honest opion. He said they use fresh chicken breast so I said pls show me and guess what it was, frozen in a bag. And then there's the tall slim blond waitress as many reviews have said the rudest most horrible thing I have ever come across in my life working in hospitality. The other waitress Angie was lovely and so apologetic. Let's see what defence the owner...

A nicely decorated restaurant however the place lacked a welcoming atmosphere. The menu appears to be generic on this island as it is exactly the same as Aroma (reviewed). Ordered nearly the same things to compare as my wife is not a big fan of Indian food. The poppadoms dip would also appear to have come from same supplier except the spicy onions which was slightly different imo. No better, no worse I would say. The chicken pakoras tasted nice and again a hint of difference in the spice used. The chicken tikka masala sauce was slightly thinner but was tasty enough. I had a lamb balti, hot. All the food was cooked to a good standard and well spiced. The chapati felt thinner as some bits broke off like a cracker. Right apart from the non existent pleasantries, a bug bear of mine is insects in eating establishments …….so when the waiter removed the spice dish and half a dozen bugs came running from under it I thought OMG!! They looked like baby cockroaches though I can’t say for sure. They were 2-3mm long and scurried very quickly. I would like to give this a 3.5 but halved not allowed. All in all a good meal and...

Cant give 0 so has to be 1. Went at 17.45, lady (?) Said don't start til 18.00 but can serve you a drink. Ordered 2 drinks and 2 spicy poppadoms n pickles to start, tandoori chicken n lamb madras. No spicy poppadoms ready so brought us a plain one not 2 but followed by another plain one. Told us just frying spicy ones. Every 2 minutes could hear microwave pinging...why we were only 2 there. 2 spicy poppadoms arrived stone cold as we're the plate. We decided to cancel rest of order as was clearly a microwave meal and quite expensive which I don't mind if delicious as my partners birthday. The waitress proceeded to scream only microwave plates (why did it go off 6 times in 10 minutes n and only was no-one else there ours was cold) . We paid for 2 drinks and poppadoms we didn't eat and she was so rude screaming we were unreasonable. She looked dirty and scruffy had no customer service skills. Live n learn.
