Aberdeen Steak House — Restaurant in Arona

From the beginning, it felt like a quiet and nice location to eat. We were seen waiting and quickly just told to sit anywhere and waited for our menus. I realised that we had been waiting an unnecessarily long time for any menus but thought nothing of it. We ordered a two cocktails and two steaks, nothing else. But again, we waited a very long time until our order was taken. We then were given bread. And to my thought, being given bread without ordering it, meant was that it is complementary. This was not the case. We finally got our meals and for a steak house the food was surprisingly bland. Now the food wasn’t terrible but I would never regard it as nice in any way. We finished what we ordered and requested the bill. Again, waiting a very long time and getting very short interactions with the waiting staff. At this point we were very frustrated and had no more patience to wait any longer. I wanted to pay and I wanted to leave. We got our bill and was not happy. They charged us for the bread and had provided a tip. Which if not automatically implemented, they would not have received a tip from me. Anyway, unhappy with the bill we begrudgingly emptied our pockets to pay. And they conveniently, took the money quickly and placed in the till. Now our bill came to €46.33 and we gave €50 and I asked for the change when he took the bill. He just put the money away without so much as a thought to give us our money which he had already put upon himself to take more of. He then tended to a woman for a long time (who was not eating or paying for anything) until realising that we were not leaving. They then brought our change with no word coming from him. Truly unhappy with this service and without a doubt the worst restaurant I have visited in Tenerife. I am not a person to leave reviews but I couldn’t refrain from doing so...

We went in with probably high expectations since we love spanish cuisine but unfortunately these expectations were not met. The service was just horrible, waiters acted like they did not see us. Well, maybe that was because we sat down at the table that was not cleaned, but they should have cleaned it right when the previous guests had left..? Then it took like 10-15 minutes to just order, and the restaurant was not even busy!

When we finally had our meal it was a huge disappointment. That was definitely no gastronomic experience you would like to have, the food seemed like it was frozen semi-finished product, it was not good at all.. On the top of that, my chicken was undercooked. I ordered cajun chicken which came in big slices of chicken and when i sliced through the meat it was pink. I confronted the waiter who just took my plate without any words. We did not know what to expect, so the rest of my party finished and we were ready to pay. Awful, ordered 38oz t bone steak medium rare , peppercorn sauce, and red wine for me and my girlfriend but got what looked and taste like 3 x boiled pork chops but had more gristle than a camels big toe, the meat was white inside and covered in juice. There was so much fat in the meat the knife didn’t go through it. Don’t go here, seriously, it wasn’t a bad night or one off, these people wouldn’t know Anything about fine Scottish steak if it was rammed in their japs eyes. I told him a proper t- bone steak is off one bone . It tasted of nothing man , totally disappointed we refused to pay, and they brought a bill with a voucher for a free bottle of wine available with a steak, I was with 9 others who had steak and this wasn’t offered, the manager said it was for the next time we come, but... we walked past here 2 days ago and were given that same flyer with offer of free bottle of wine in that but the staff conveniently forgot to mention that... so we refused to pay for it, oh and the peppercorn sauce tasted like perfume.
