I SHOULD HAVE LISTENED TO THE BAD REVIEWS. DO NOT EAT AT THIS PLACE.
I visited La Martina on 18/10/2023 with my wife and 3 kids. Upon arriving, I could already sense the unmanageability and lack of hospitality. It was madness just trying to get people seated- which was strange for what seemed to be a relatively quiet weeknight. We were eventually seated, and this is when I checked the reviews. I saw a few 1 star reviews and gave the benefit of the doubt- but things were already not looking too great as we sat waiting for 15 minutes before our drinks order was even taken. By this time we were ready to order food, but were told we had to wait- which we did, for a further 10 minutes. We order two garlic bread starters and the beef sweetbread, along with our main meals, which consisted of two kids meals, a London burger and a mixed grill. The starters arrived around 15 minutes later- along with the two kids meals. And although the beef sweetbread was nice (and arguably the only good part of the whole meal), what wasn’t so nice was that we had to watch two of our kids eat and then wait a further 15 minutes (perhaps more) before the rest came along. And in regards to the rest of the food, I will just epitomise the quality of it by noting how I had to be sick in the toilets afterwards. The sausages were horrendous, the steak wasn’t too great, and the red-raw lump of fat on bone was disgraceful. The chicken was ok, but after ingesting the rest of the stuff, I had lost my appetite. Upon finishing, we were so underwhelmed that we just wanted to leave. I think the waiters must’ve sensed this, as one of them came and chucked the bill on our table. Then when we got up to pay, we were received so rudely and without a thank you in sight that I feel that simply not leaving a tip wasn’t sufficient enough… we should’ve refused to pay. Horrible, horrible restaurant. And I am sure it is only a matter of time before it gets shut down, because I cannot see anybody in their right mind returning to a place that seems to resent having...
Read moreWe had dinner at this restaurant six nights in a row, and that alone speaks volumes about the quality of both the food and the experience. Without a doubt, it was the best dining we enjoyed in Tenerife. The fillet steak stood out as perfection, cooked exactly as it should be, tender and full of flavor. Over the course of our visits, we tried a wide variety of dishes: beef, chicken, pork, salmon, squid, and prawns. Every single one was prepared beautifully, as you can see in the photos. Even though this place is known for its beef, the seafood was equally impressive, fresh and flavorful. The highlight for us was the tomahawk steak,so tender and delicious. It was served with a hot grill, allowing us to finish cooking it to our exact liking right at the table, which made the experience even more special. Dessert was just as memorable, their tiramisu is easily one of the best I’ve ever had. The cocktails were crafted with care, and I highly recommend the champagne sangria, which was refreshing and unique. On top of all this, the service was outstanding. The staff were warm, attentive, and truly made us feel welcome every single evening. It’s rare to find a place that consistently delivers both exceptional food and genuine hospitality, but this restaurant does exactly that. I recommend this place with all my heart to anyone visiting Tenerife. It’s the kind of place you’ll want to return to again and again. I know I certainly will on...
Read moreI loved everything here this is my favorite place weve gone to, too bad its next to a much worse resturant where the water for that one tries to poach you before you reach it. We had a t bone steak and 2 of some meat i forgot, but it doesnt matter, it was delicious. One was rare, absolutely melted it was so soft the well done one was so soft as well and no chewyness absolutely delicious and the T bone steak was medium rare, ofc that would be me. It was divine best steak ive ever had i almost ate my entire giant steak. The meat just melts off, the fat was so soft and nice so good. Only thing even sub par was we had mushroom sauce with and it was semi bland, its not that it was bad but more of a "ive had better". Desert was alright but very cheap which definitely made up for it, not that i could eat much after eating such nicd meat. I would have appreciated non canned whipped cream on the desert though but the rum raisins were very nice. On Service i very much liked the people there, there wasnt much to do so maybe it gave them more priority on us but they were there at every moment, only bad thing there is we forgot to order sauce and no one mentioned it but once we remembered we got it within no time at all. I csnnot reccommend this...
