We visited here as a group of 7 on our last night of our holiday, I wish we would have read the reviews! I will say I cannot fault the food it was beautiful and everyone enjoyed it but that was the one and only good thing. It took around 20 minutes to even get someone to come over for drinks. The waitress we had with hair slicked back and glasses was the rudest person I’ve ever met in my life. I ordered the tacos and asked for no lettuce and she spun around so fast and looked at me disgusted to the point everyone on our table was in shock. The food arrived, one of the orders was wrong and my food didn’t come. We must have asked 8/9 different times where my food was and got told one moment. I sat and ate my dinner on my own as everyone had finished which was awful, not even a sorry when she brought it over. Two of our friends asked for a takeaway box which then again she looked disgusted with. She was actually gesturing for my friend to move her hands whilst she was trying to put her food in the box. She wanted to do it herself as she didn’t want it all in there but she kept saying no no no. We paid €138 as a group and I couldn’t believe I still got charged after eating on my own and how poorly we were treated. She then stood over us saying it’s 3 cents too short over and over again in shock as we shouldn’t have even paid for my food anyway. If this was anywhere in England they’d have taken it off immediately. she then said oh doesn’t matter snatched the money and stormed off. Absolutely the most disgusting service any of us have ever received. We all eat out at least once a week at home every single breakfast lunch and dinner on holiday coming away multiple times a year for 10 years plus and none of us have ever received the service we have tonight. What a shame as the food was beautiful. How can you have multiple staff so rude and non apologetic at one of the most supposed high end restaurants in Las Americas. Avoid...
Read moreReally wanted a Mexican at least once I the week, so sought out this large place to try – it has an extensive menu, but the classics were all there including enchiladas and tacos.
Situated on the upper-level terrace, just around the corner from Harry’s Bar, we went for an early meal and were seated straight away – nice seat with views of the street.
The beer was Dorada, as it was and as it should be.
Generous portion of deep-fried jalapenos to start – weirdly these came with a dish of nacho cheese to dip them in, instead of the classic sour cream. This worked and they were good. You can’t really go wrong with deep fried jalapenos though and I could have easily eaten more. Decent.
For main, an enchilada Verde – I love an enchilada Verde. This one was very novel as it arrived covered in so much salad etc that I couldn’t see the enchilada. Very tasty though and very fresh – a good sized portion that I would have again. I would have it with chips, were chips available. Chips may have been available to be fair, I can’t remember.
I actually had a dessert here as well – strawberries and cream. This was odd, as I thought I was ordering a sundae of some sort but it was actually strawberries and cream. Fresh though. Reminded me of Wimbledon.
Overall a good experience and I would come here again I think if were in the area for longer – the price was pretty reasonable and the...
Read moreOur experience at Hacienda Miranda was a mixed bag, to say the least. Upon arrival, we were seated promptly, but then left unattended for 20 minutes before being asked about drinks, despite the restaurant not being particularly busy. When the drinks finally arrived, they were incorrect. We then asked to order food but were ignored for another 10 minutes.
The service, unfortunately, continued to disappoint. Our waitress, though clearly overwhelmed, was incredibly rude and stand-offish. When taking our order, she seemed rushed, and we had to stop her to double-check everything. When the food arrived, only two meals were served initially. After complaining, we waited another 10-20 minutes for the remaining meals.
To their credit, when one of the meals arrived incorrect, it was quickly fixed without us needing to say anything. The food itself was excellent—authentic, delicious Mexican dishes. Our table ordered quesadillas, fajitas, a vegetarian burrito, and beef nachos.
In summary, the food was fantastic, but the service was a shambles. Hopefully, the staff were just having an off night, as the food is well worth the visit if the service improves.
Rating only two stars just based on the service, really ruined our last night in Tenerife due to how bad they made us as...
