I'm only leaving one star for the disgusting service of the rude cocky waiter that thinks he owns the place, honestly his attitude is disgusting! We arrived just after 10 and were seated straight away. No sooner had we ordered our starters then they were literally brought straight out, almost as if they were already cooked and sat there waiting (the chicken satay skewers were cold so these were changed straight away) whilst eating, the waiting staff were pacing back and fourth watching our every fork full! I could just tell we were going to be rushed. I appreciate that it was quite late so wouldn't have wanted to sit for hours anyway. Also I'm not the sort of person to do that as I much prefer to just eat and go. I said to my partner, I bet they're trying to rush us out so can you please ask for a few minutes before they bring the mains over. He asked and was rudely barked at "NO, KITCHEN IS CLOSED!" We then called over for the manager, she was absolutely lovely. We just explained that it's not the cheapest of places to eat and one of my favorite restaurants so if they said to us when we arrived that we were going to be rushed then we would have gone back earlier on a different evening. He reduced the bill by 30% which was lovely of her but we definitely won't ever go back there again. The rude waiter came over to take our bill and started getting over excited as if from a distance it would look like we were having a go at him (actually really weird) I say spend your hard-earned cash at a different restaurant rather than experiencing the disgusting service that we...
Read moreWhat a lovely, authentic Thai restaurant right in the heart of Playa de las Américas, just by the fountains on the upper level. The décor is light and tasteful with subtle Thai influences — nothing overdone or gimmicky.
Let’s talk about the cocktails — wow wow wow. The strawberry daiquiri was one of the best I’ve ever had, and the coconut berry? Like a dessert in a glass. I’d honestly return just for the drinks alone.
For starters, I had the chargrilled ribs — perfectly cooked, tender, smoky, and full of flavour. The portion size was generous, easily enough for two.
For mains, I went with the crispy pork belly with egg fried rice. The pork was indeed crispy, though slightly on the dry side — but the flavourful sauce tied everything together beautifully. I still enjoyed the dish, though the starter stole the show for me.
A huge shoutout to our waiter Freddy, who delivered exceptional service. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely warm — his drink recommendations were spot on, and he made sure everything was perfect throughout our meal.
Highly recommend Thai Botanica for its authentic Thai cuisine, stellar service, and top-tier drinks. Tip: Reserve a table if you’re going after 5 PM — it gets busy...
Read moreThis place is a gem! The atmosphere is great, creating the perfect ambience for a delightful evening out. Our waiter Romy was the crown jewel of our dining experience. His warmth and genuine enthusiasm for his work created an instantly welcoming atmosphere, making us feel like valued guests from the moment we arrived. Romy's outstanding service elevated our entire evening and is a true asset to the restaurant.
The food was fantastic, with various spice levels to suit all palates. My friend said the massaman dish is the best he's ever had in his life. The food is so authentic and delicious - it's prepared by Thai chefs who really know their craft. They truly deliver on flavour and quality.
Overall, it was an absolutely delightful evening that I highly recommend for anyone seeking genuine Thai cuisine in a wonderful setting.
Highly recommend this restaurant, was the best experience for dinner on my trip...
