Restaurantes La Rústica — Restaurant in Arrecife

We arrived a family of 5 who live on the island and have been here a lot since it has been opened. I never put negative review on but it is really sad how the quality of the food and staff have gone really bad. If I could put no stars I would. We sat down and waited a while for the waiter to come over. When he did he never said anything but just stood there. We asked him for menus and he asked about drinks and he went and came back with menus. We then waited a while for him to come and take our order. There was not many tables in. My children speak Spanish and i was telling my daughter my order, to this the wait rudely told us to stop talking. We felt really worried to talk again and felt like we had been told off the way he spoke to us. We work in the same industry and would never tell a customer to stop talking. This should of been a warning to us to leave there and then. i ordered my pizza and asked for no peppers, where the waiter said you mean jalapenos, I said no peppers. There was no Jalapenos on it anyway. He repeated himself as spoke to me as if i was stupid. The food came out within 5 mins. A bit too quick for it to be fresh. My family ordered pastas they came first. I was told my pizza wouldnt be long. About 10 mins later mine and my daughters pizza came. Mine had a water puddling the top, full of peppers and where it should of been chicken it looked and tasted like tuna. The cheese wasnt even melted. I called the waiter and they argued that it was chicken and not tuna and he would show me if i wanted. The pizza was the worst I have ever tasted and if that was chicken it was the worst quality i have ever had. We never got asked if everything was ok or approached when we received our food. They all congregated against the wall avoiding customers. I left 80% of the pizza. When we finally got the staffs attention for the bill I was asked if i wanted to take the pizza away. I explained it was awful and wasnt nice. The waitress just ignored what i said and took the plates without an apology The pastas was not as bad but not as good as we have previously had it. This is a shame that a restaurant that started so good has gone so bad. I will not be returning. The staff are ruining...

Very unprofessional staff,when collecting the plates instead of politely asking me to keep my cutlery I was bluntly told:”Take it!” when I looked in amazement what the waitress wants me to do .She hissed :”Take it!”🤦‍♀️ Next my husband asks for a bread rolls and what they brought him was resembling frozen ready to bake bread roll from a supermarket,burnt on one end and not even seen the oven on the other! Soup resembled tomato juice with added water! Well,to top it all when our Grilled squid arrived that was a final thing ! Never even seen a grill !! Boiled,no taste whatsoever!Disaster!! When waitress collected the plates she never asked why we have left our food on the plate🤷‍♀️ I have told her to do me a favour and do not call it a grilled squid when it’s not even seen a grill! She said would you like us to cook it more?🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ Nooooo! Overall the worst food in whole of the island!

As for the reply! After reading so many negative reviews I think you are in denial! Because 1 or 2 ,I would not think anything of but you have more bad ones than the good ones.🤔 If that was all the staff though was ok to offer and as you pointed out was not enough for me I think you need to go and work there yourself! This is not the way to run business!!!! PS: My husband was in the restaurant business all his life and said there is a big difference between grill and piastra/pan frying 😉

I wish I would have read the reviews before hand! Well,glad there is proper restaurants who know how to treat the customers.😍 And I won’t let your bad attitude...

I only give it a star because I can’t give it a zero. I was there with a friend, I ordered the nuggets (which were alright) and my friend ordered a Hamburger. A Hamburger which was RAW!!! I looked at it and couldn’t believe my eyes, that’s why we asked the waitress if it was normal that the Burger looked like this. She made big eyes and shook her head… We were so shocked that this could even happen in a restaurant… 10 minutes later an other waitress comes with the Hamburger , doesn’t apologise, doesn’t ask if everything was alright, nothing! At the moment of paying, I asked if it was possible to get something off of the bill or any kind of compensation. The woman (I think it is the manager) was immediately very arrogant with us and told us that “she likes it when the meet is bloody” and we even showed her that the meet wasn’t bloody and that we know what bloody looks like and she insisted that it was “bloody”. And even if the meet had been bloody you need to ask the client how they want the meet, you can’t assume that everyone likes something that you like.She wouldn’t hear us out, would be commenting the situation with other clients in Spanish ( and yes I understand Spanish very well), a very mean Lady… Because it was our first day we gave up on it and payed the whole bill. I was really disappointed for the rest of the day and couldn’t believe someone could treat...
