I would say that the place aspires to be classy and high end - at least the interior looks warm and welcoming, but other than that it leaves a lot to be desired. Firstly, when asked if we wanted a starter and given the negative response to the waiter, we still got 2 slices of „bread” and 2 shot glasses of onion cream soup (on house according to the waiter) - nevertheless we found the „el pan servicio” in the bill, 3€ per person... Secondly the prices are already set quite high, and when the dish comes - it is quite small and disappointing, especially when you know what was the price in the menu... What made it worse is that the final price of the dish on the bill was even higher than that on the menu, so I can only call it a rip off. Regarding wines in the wine card, the bottles they offer, normally worth 6-8 € per bottle are sold for over 20-40€ (there was literally a bottle for under 7€ offered for over 40€... I also noticed different treatment of local guests vs. tourists: e.g. sizes of the portions. I can not recommend this place at...
Read moreI was completely shocked at how this place ends up being a trap. We did not ask for starters, but we were charged € 3 for the piece of bread that the waiter put on the plate (and we did not eat it as it was hard). But the worst was yet to come, as we asked what the maitre d 's suggestion was for dinner, and he offered a baked fish with accompaniments. The fish was a flatfish for Two, without any seasoning (we asked for salt, pepper and olive oil) with a potato that did not know if it was stirred or puree, and only. The price of the dish? 65 € !!!!! An absurd because not even worthy! We spent 127 € with a bottle of white wine, and I have never regretted so much of having gone to a restaurant! It was the waiters completely unprepared, confused ... a horrible experience, which made us spend money idly, in a place that wants to be something, but has no...
Read moreThe service, ambiance, and food were excellent. I ordered the Salmon Tataki and would order it again. The others in my party would order what they had as well.
I would avoid buying a steak here, though. The Nebraska Black Angus steak costs 150 euros per kilogram. For US readers, a kilogram is 2.205 lbs or just over 35 ounces. The minimum order is 1 kilogram. The waiter said 1 kilogram was enough for two people, meaning it must be bone-in. They also incorrectly emphasized the breed of cow rather than the quality of the cut of meat. The menu did not mention the quality of the cut. Sixty-eight euros per pound is a lot to pay for a bone-in steak. On this trip, I had great steaks in other Spanish restaurants for 25 to 35 euros, and I doubt one would notice the difference with a...
