My search for my favorite Pho has brought me to, of all places Barcelona, Spain! That is in jest as I am with my daughter on my graduation gift to her; a two week trip through Spain and Portugal.

Wandering through the streets we kept seeing different places to eat but nothing was enticing us as we have eaten so much on this trip. We had talk about pho early in the trip but the tapas and seafood has dominated our diet. Today, wandering down a side alley, we found a true gem, Amthucviet.

Such a pleasant atmosphere away from the crowds of the squares and main streets. On top of it, the service is great and the Pho is heavenly. Ou of the hundreds of bowls of Pho this one is in the top 10. The broth is so delicate and the beef flavor is so enticing. My daughter informs me the beefy flavor is because European standards mean all animals are grass fed. Whatever the reason, the flavor is amazing!

Though there were only a few people in when we arrived the smell of their choices made us very keen to try what was on offer. It was lovely. My partner and I had Hâ Cào Chiên, Mý Vit and Chicken Curry. By the time we left there were a lot more people in and we know why! Great food and relaxed but efficient service. We will definitely be back to try more of menu as there is so many great choices. I hadn’t had the Moritz beer before. It’s a rather nice malty Pils style which went perfectly with the food :-) Back again. This time had the Nem (Chà Giò), spring rolls. These were easily the best ‘spring rolls’ I’ve ever had. Everything tasted good and the service was excellent but unfortunately I got severe food poisoning after eating the pot with Shrimp, squid and mussels last weekend.

Regarding to your response: Hello, I see you’re trying to deny that I was ever at your restaurant, which is both unprofessional and quite disrespectful. Let me be very clear: I was there with my dad who paid and I have pictures of our food.
