Food is excellent. The assortment of tapas are good for five people to start. I love the Manchego cheese. Delicious. The Padron peppers are the most impressive dish. Spicy potatoes are not bad either. The veggie paella is a disappointment - it is like risotto - there is much room for improvement here. And you can order one veggie paella. I think it can serve 4-5 people, with each one a scoop. No need to upgrade for 3-person size at all. Waiter very attentive. Despite the conversation still going on, he came and took away the veggie paella, to make more room on the table, with the paella not even finishing half and the rest of dishes were nearly finished. He was right to take away the most unpopular dish on the table! All in all, a good experience of Spanish food. It opens up our expectations.

A restaurant with a few tapas dishes, paella and some other food like pizzas, pasta and hamburgers (didn’t see anyone getting dishes other than paella or tapas really). Service is alright, very fast and efficient, and it’s easy to communicate in English. The ‘freshly squeezed’ orange juice isn’t that freshly squeezed by the way ! The food is flavoursome and not too salty with many clearly labelled vegetarian options including paella which is also vegan. Ask staff for confirmation about whether veggie dishes are also vegan, but it seems most are. It’s a good place to go as a group to suit a wide variety of tastes, decent portion sizes, but slightly on the expensive side. I’d say there’s better quality places out there and wouldn’t pick this again as “The Place” for Spanish paella.

I ordered the pasta carbonara which was actually very nice, we also ordered the garlic bread and the chicken finger with mayonnaise for starters. The garlic bread was very hard and dry, the chicken had very minimal flavor and was hard in texture. for main, my partner got the barbecue pizza with beef and pork. The topping was soo saucy it was falling straight off when picking up a slice of pizza. She ended up exchanging it for cheese and tomato pizza that's was also horrible and we ended up leaving after eating a few slices. I wouldn't bother with this place if you appreciate good food. the bill came to €50 and we ended up eating mcdonald's after. The cocktails were like fruit shoots, very week.

(Updated below post response from Restaurant) Probably the worst experience that I’ve ever had with a waiter.

We had to wait 20 mins for a table “to be free” and then we saw that half the restaurant was empty

Another couple walked in, and they were sat down right next to us - no wait time

And then 15 mins after sitting down, we tried to call the waiter “Joel” who ushered that he’ll be there in a minute. 5 mins later…he goes and serves the table next to us for drinks. Tbh that’s all what we wanted to order.

And then he immediately brings the water over for the table next to us and finally takes our order, but then instead of bringing the water over, he vanishes into the kitchen. And then 10 mins after that we left.

Overall I feel like this place has a lot of potential and the food did look good on the other tables. Very unprofessional of Joel to treat us the way he did.

I’ll be recommending so many other places in Barcelona but Nuria is one I’d simply avoid.

(Update) Thank you for your response, but I can see why you've chosen to dispute the facts rather than address the service issues.

Your claim of a "5-minute wait" is simply incorrect - we waited 20 minutes while watching half-empty tables around us. Describing the restaurant as "almost full" contradicts what we clearly observed.

More importantly, you've completely ignored the core issue: we watched another couple arrive after us and get seated immediately with no wait time, then receive service before us despite being seated 15 minutes later. This isn't about "brief high demand" - it's about inconsistent and unfair treatment of customers.

You also mischaracterised us as "single diners" when we were clearly a couple, and your explanation about table placement doesn't address why the other couple received immediate attention while we were repeatedly ignored.

Rather than acknowledging these legitimate service failures, your response attempts to rewrite what happened. A simple acknowledgment of the poor service and a commitment to improvement would have been far more appropriate than this defensive response that ignores the actual problems we experienced.

This response reinforces why we cannot recommend...

Had an awful experience here. Lack of allergens information on the menu and knowledge by the staff caused my mom (who is allergic to tree nuts) to have an allergic reaction to her caesar salad. When we asked the manager to confirm, he spoke with the staff for 5 minutes whilst my mom was beginning to swell up and when he came over he said “there is a small amount of almonds in the sauce so it shouldn’t be that bad”. When she left with one of my sisters to get a tablet whilst me and my other sister quickly finished and settled up the bill, not once did the staff come over to ask if she was okay or see if there was anything that could be done to help, they seemed more concerned about ignoring what had happened. Me and my other sister then proceeded to pay, which the originally tried to charge the full amount to us for, before asking to speak to someone as we were not happy to, and managed to get a deduction. We then rushed back to the hotel as my sister that was with my mom called and said she had not been able to keep any tablets down and her throat was closing up and she was very swollen. We ended up needing to call an ambulance as the reaction was that strong. We did go back to the restaurant once we knew she was okay to inform them of this and were given a full refund much to the dismay of the manager, who still didn’t seem concerned by it, and proceeded to try and show us some allergen information that was not readily available or accessible to the customers. Extremely disappointed by the lack of care and concern the restaurant manager...

Went in there and it took about 5 minutes before anyone came to take us to a table. Once seated another waiter came took my bag (which wasnt in the way) and placed it away from me. When questioned she just said “no no no bag there.” After this it took 20 minutes before any came to take our orders (lots of waiters doing nothing) which they messed up anyway. I asked for an Aquarius they came with a coke zero but before i could say they got it wrong instantly opens it and then says ill to pay to another drink. She was very rude throughout the whole experience. When the food came i ordered the pork ribs for €17 which came as a tiny portion with most of it being bones and wasn’t that good for the bits i had. I understand that may just be down to the cut of meat but my misses ordered the garlic bread which was purely just oil. It was so oily when we pressed it a pool of oil was on our plate. When paying it took another 20 minutes to get their attention then another 10 as their card machine wouldn’t take certain cards but they did not mention this before or was their any signs saying this. Overall poor food with poor...
