On our last day in Barcelona, we decided to try something different and opted for pizza. We ordered two different kinds. The mortadella pizza was actually quite good, flavorful and well-balanced. Unfortunately, the Diavola was a real letdown.
The center of the pizza was so thin and soaked with tomato sauce that it became soggy and nearly impossible to eat without everything sliding off. On the other hand, the crust was overly thick (even for Napoli-style pizza) and quite chewy, which threw off the overall balance. It also lacked seasoning and just didn’t have much flavor.

Read moreThree of us were told we had to wait for a bigger table, as we couldn’t share one designed for two. We couldn’t leave a name and come back in 20 mins either (no reservations weekends). We tried the branch further up the road but it was busy. We tried again at the restaurant and waited. A party of three came in just after us, and they were given a table before us, despite what the waiter had just said about people having to wait their turn, and no reservations. The manager is quite slovenly and rather rude, very negative attitude. We left, and won’t be going back. The Ragu Lasagna had a rich, delicious sauce and a generous portion. The pizza was also fantastic!! The menu had so much choice that I think anything would be incredible. I wish I had more time in the city so I could try more of the menu 😅
