I recently had the unfortunate opportunity to dine at Antúnez Restaurant, and I must say that it was a truly disappointing experience from start to finish. Right from the beginning, there were several issues that left me feeling frustrated and unwelcome.
To begin with, the staff took our glasses with drinks still in them, without even asking. This lack of consideration for our dining experience set the tone for the rest of the evening. It's basic etiquette to inquire before removing items from the table, and the fact that they failed to do so was a clear indication of their negligence.
Furthermore, the restaurant failed to make it clear in the reservation that we were only allowed a mere 1.5 hours for our meal. This time restriction made the entire dining experience feel incredibly rushed and impeded our ability to enjoy our evening. It's essential for restaurants to communicate such limitations beforehand, ensuring that customers can make an informed decision about their dining plans.
When I politely attempted to provide feedback to the manager about these issues, his responses were dismissive and unsatisfactory. Upon mentioning the lack of clarity in the reservation regarding the time limit, the staff member's response was along the lines of, "Since there was an option for 1st turn and second turn, you should have realized that." This response was both unhelpful and unprofessional, as it placed the blame on me rather than addressing the core problem.
Additionally, when I mentioned the incident of my glasses being taken without permission, the staff member responded with a dismissive "yes, I understand" before walking away. This kind of apathetic and unresponsive attitude towards customer feedback is simply unacceptable. It was also a friend’s 30th birthday.
Overall, my experience was marred by a series of disappointments. The lack of communication about the time limit, the negligent behavior of the staff, and their dismissive response to feedback all contributed to an unsatisfactory dining experience. It is crucial for restaurants to prioritize customer satisfaction and professionalism, qualities that were sorely lacking at Antúnez.
I sincerely hope that the management takes these concerns seriously and works towards improving their service and overall customer experience. As it stands, I cannot recommend this restaurant to others based on my...
