Made a reservation for two at 1:00pm. Server saw us waiting outside a few minutes prior and welcomed us with a smile as soon as it was time. He apologized for not speaking English too well, which made me feel sad/guilty because I’m the one who’s sorry for not speaking more Spanish … in SPAIN. Anyway, he explained the special menu of the day and we decided to order the steak, along with the patatas bravas and ravioli from the usual menu. We weren’t sure if that was enough food for two, but the waiter warmly assured us it would be, and it was!! We were stuffed buuuuuuuut we couldn’t resist ordering dessert as there were many google reviews that mentioned their crème brûlée. I’m so glad we tried it because I was initially worried it’d be too sweet/heavy. They put their own twist to it and balanced the sweetness with some tartness from the sorbet at the bottom. Delicious!!
One thing that was misunderstood/miscommunicated was the cheese that was served alongside the steak. I assumed it was part of that particular dish, but it was charged as a separate dish when the bill came. It’s not a big deal, but we wouldn’t have ordered it had we known. We loved the dishes we tried and had a wonderful experience, but I would’ve preferred not to have wasted it. This is a very specific instance in which knowing the language more fluently would’ve been helpful.
Regardless, we both enjoyed our time at Santa...
Read moreI wouldn’t recommend this restaurant. I walked in alone for lunch. The waitress kept recommending something special. It’s two dishes. I thought it’s like platos del dia. So I ordered both. Turned out to be massive portion! The first dish is Alcachofas. And the second dish is fish…with alcachofas on top. I couldn’t even finish one dish. And this waitress kept recommending I have the two (by the way those two dishes are not on the menu. When I saw the bill, I realized Alcachofas is the most expensive starter and the fish is the most expensive main dish). What’s made me even more uncomfortable was during the process not only the waitress said nothing about the portion or overlapping of the ingredients, she kept pushing me to order another basket of bread (which is another 4.5EUR) TWICE. I know at best I can finish two courses, so I didn’t order bread. As for the food, the main dish, which is the fish and costs 24EUR, is very mediocre. Too salty for me. The alcachofas were not very fresh and the top part was too dry to chew and swallow. I returned both plates half full and asked for the bill. The waitress still kept asking if I wanted desert or coffee. They really gave no sheet to the customer experience and just wanted to squeeze the most money possible from the tourists as they know they won’t return. I do won’t return but I will also leave a comment online to warn...

One of my favorites restaurants in Barcelona. Totally recommend this place +++ Tip: better to make a reservation , especially for end of the week ;-)
