My friend and I recently visited the rooftop at Sercotel Rosellón after seeing it all over social media. Amazing views of Sagrada Familia, so it is a must-see when planning your trip to Barcelona.
Tip: Don’t forget to make a reservation! We thought it was like a regular bar you can just walk into, but we were told you need to make a reservation to go up and there weren’t any for the next two weeks. Luckily, one opened up for the next evening and we snagged it immediately. Another note, the hostess on the ground floor said that “this is not a view point,” yet they charge a $7 entrance fee just to go. This fee does not go towards your meal and/or drinks at all. Weird thing to say if they are charging for the views…
Lastly, we were met with an incredibly rude hostess upstairs named Clara. She was dishonest about the seating arrangements and then proceeded to argue with me in front of other staff and seated guests. Basically, she sat us in the corner, two tables away from the railing. No problem at all, but we asked if we could sit at the empty table (two tables put together, just asked if she could pull them apart) by the railing. She said it was already reserved ahead by a party of four and that they paid for this specific table. Strange, being that we didn’t have an option to choose which table we wanted, but again no worries as we didn’t dislike where we were seated. Then, about ten minutes later, she sat one man down and then took the second table away so it was two separate tables. I of course asked her about this and then she started arguing with me. The whole ordeal was very embarrassing and made my friend and me uncomfortable. I just don’t like to be lied to or treated this way when I spoke in a calm and collected manner.
Alessandro and Yarel made up for her behavior and made us feel comfortable for the remainder of the evening. They sat us on the railing with a better view (although we didn’t need to be moved, honestly), and checked up on us regularly. Without the attention and care from Alessandro and Yarel, I’m afraid my friend and I would have most certainly left. If you have the chance to get a reservation at this bar, ask for them and I can assure you will have a wonderful evening with incredible views. The food was meh (nachos were yummy but cold) but definitely get there for sunset and order the passion fruit...

My recent visit to Secrotel Roselon Rooftop in Barcelona left me utterly enchanted and impressed. This rooftop bar is nothing short of spectacular, and I can't wait to share my experience.
First and foremost, the view is absolutely breathtaking. The panoramic vista of the La Sagrada Familia from this vantage point is simply mesmerizing. I felt like I was in a postcard-worthy setting, and I couldn't get enough of it. The ambiance is romantic and awe-inspiring, making it an ideal spot for a special evening.
Now, let's talk about the drinks. The cocktail menu at Secrotel Roselon Rooftop is a delight for the senses, and two standout drinks captured my heart: the Mojito and the Moscow Mule. The Mojito was a refreshing burst of lime and mint, perfectly balanced and not too sweet. The Moscow Mule had just the right amount of kick, served ice-cold in a traditional copper mug. Both were expertly crafted and added to the overall enjoyment of the evening.
The attentive and friendly staff made our visit even more memorable. They were knowledgeable about the menu and offered excellent recommendations, ensuring that our drinks were served just the way we liked them. Their service added to the warm and inviting atmosphere of the rooftop.
In summary, Secrotel Roselon Rooftop is a hidden gem in Barcelona that shouldn't be missed. The stunning view of the La Sagrada Familia, coupled with the exceptional Mojito and Moscow Mule cocktails, make it a must-visit destination. Whether you're a visitor to the city or a local, this rooftop bar offers a unique and unforgettable experience. I can't wait to return for another evening of...
Read moreMade reservations for 2/19/24. Great Experience! Highly recommended! Food and Service were good!
I was able to make a reservation online with no issues. The Bar-Terrassa at the Sercotel Rosellón opens the reservation process only 7 days prior and it books quickly. We were able to reserve 17:00 (5pm) on a Friday night before sunset. The cost is 5€ per person due at time of reservation. A nominal fee for a great experience!
The food and drinks were very good. We ordered drinks and apps since we had dinner reservations later that evening. We ordered; Chardonnay, Aperol Spritz, Pan con tomate (bread with tomato), Nachos con guacamole (Nacho & Guacamole), Hummus con pan de pita (Hummus & Pita), Surtido de embutidos ibéricos y quesos con pan con tomate (basically an Antipasto or Charcuterie Board). It was all good. If you get the Hummus, be sure to order extra pita (extra cost) as there is more hummus than pita. Food was all good and the prices were acceptable. The staff was very nice and accommodating. The menu is available online for viewing prior to arrival, check it out.
The pictures from other patrons online are beautiful but to see the magnificence of La Sagrada Familia this close is pure joy. We were in awe the entire time.
One huge plus - - The hotel does not overbook this rooftop bar! You will not be crowded shoulder-to-shoulder with other guests on the rooftop bar/restaurant. There was ample space throughout for us to roam around. This is a must see for any trip...
