unfriendly, disrespectful staff. i know some spanish but i’m too shy to order in spanish, so i order in english. they didn’t have anymore what i asked for, so i go on to look for something else on the menu. the woman then rolls her eyes slightly while mumbling something to the man about ‘being friendly’. i then proceed to pay and she whispers to him again, giving me a side eye. i had no idea what that was about. maybe they mistakenly thought (as a tourist) that i was frustrated that they didn’t have what i asked for, which is not the case. it was not very customer friendly. then when i was finished, i brought back my plate so they didn’t have to clean it from my table (i always do this everywhere out of respect for their service). no thank you. i then said the food was very good, and they just nodded, no friendly laugh or thank you. idk it felt a bit odd to me, there was no nice exchange. maybe they don’t speak english well, or they shy at talking in a foreign language like me, but then again, you don’t need language to communicate - a friendly laugh would’ve been enough the atmosphere is great, very nice view of the city and the smell of flowers in the park. i had a jamon sandwich, which was really, really tasty! but very expensive. a ‘medio’ sized (+/- 20 cm)...
