Bar Mendizàbal — Restaurant in Barcelona

We had a really upsetting experience here. While walking through the area, our child got hungry and we needed a place to sit for a few minutes to prepare her milk. We walked into this restaurant with the intention of ordering something and staying briefly. However, the waiter immediately approached us and told us to leave. When we politely asked to see the menu so we could place an order, he rudely refused and essentially kicked us out.

This level of disrespect and lack of basic human decency was shocking. We weren’t loitering — we were willing customers looking for a bit of support with a small child. The waiter’s attitude was dismissive and completely uncalled for.

First the sad part: The owners are absolutely unfriendly. The husband is already from the morning in a bad mood and his wife is smoking her cigarette at the bar in the evening not being interested at all engaging with her customers nor answering questions. No smile hardly a hello, thank you or good bye This was an observation over a few days since our hotel was next door and the coffee is the best around. Very sad picture this couple. Now the great things: very good drinks, amazing coffee, nice tapas and Sandwiches.
