Absolutely outrageous – we were scammed. Spent €406.45 for a meal we didn’t order. This was hands down one of the worst and most dishonest restaurant experiences I’ve ever had. I told the waiter VERY clearly that we wanted 1 paella, 1 steak, and 1 tomato bread. That’s it. But when the bill came, we were charged for 4 paellas (€86.8), 2 steaks (€47.3), and 2 tomato breads, with absolutely no explanation beforehand. When I questioned it, the waiter casually told me that they require at least two paellas, and since we were 7 people, he just decided on his own to order FOUR, without asking or informing us at all. That is unacceptable and dishonest. Worse still, he said we had a “language barrier,” so instead of explaining the menu, he just brought out a massive amount of tapas. He jotted down a few vague lines on paper that looked like 3 or 4 items — we thought it was just a few small plates — but instead, they flooded the table with food we never agreed to. Then charged us for all of it. We asked for tap water, and were instead served bottled water at €2 each, again without being told. And to top it all off, the paella was awful – dry, bland, and overcooked. In the end, the bill came to €406.45 – an absolutely ridiculous amount for a lunch we didn’t even want. This place is a tourist trap, they take advantage of visitors, and the way they operate is shady and disrespectful. Avoid this place at all costs. They will lie to you, ignore your order, and overcharge you...
Read moreWe had an early dinner at Limbo on our visit to Barcelona last summer. The service was terrible... Waiters and especially one of the waitresses that night was extremely pushy and rude. I was having some issues with my international bank card when trying to pay the bill as the transaction was being declined and then it looked like my card had been locked (by my bank) due to so many failed attempts - so the payment was not going through. The waitress started pushing me to go to an ATM to get "cash" with her.. she kept asking you have cash? you have cash? you have cash? while trying to get me to walk away to the ATM with her... I had to raise my voice and in spanish I said to her "NO, I am not going anywhere with you, you will need to wait here till I get this fixed with my bank via phone - step away please". I eventually fixed the issue over the phone and paid the bill. I wish I would have said to the Manager that night that his staff sucks and that they need to calm down - they act anxious, annoyed and speak too fast (English & Spanish), as if they need to be somewhere else - This makes customers feel very uneasy and almost unsafe. If they dont like their job wich is entirely customer serviced based, then they should find another job. Food was...
Read moreAVOID AT ALL COSTS. Should have read the reviews. Clearly not the first time they have run this scam. Had planned on eating across the square, but the kitchen wasn't open yet so grabbed a table here. Sat down, ordered a couple drinks and a tapa sampler, which was supposed to be 4 plates. After 4 plates they kept bring more. We told them to stop bringing food 3 times, the waiter kept assuring us this was the last. After the 3rd time we went inside to talk to someone, passed even more food we didnt order being brought out. We were presented with a 450 euro bill. Pretty steep for the 4 plates and 3 drinks we ordered. Gave them the option of paying 200 (which was still way too much) or calling the police and letting them sort it out. They chose to take the 200, shocking. Avoid this place at all costs, total tourist trap scammers. Food was mid at best too, way better food for less money...
