I arrived at this restaurant after a long discovery walk around the area - really by chance. Upon entering, I was welcomed by the people and at first, it was an experience like normal: nice atmosphere, regular menu, in short what you would expect from such a place.
Not knowing the area (neither speaking more than 3 words of Spanish) I was served by Glenh, a guy from the Philippines, who guided me through the menu and made a number of great recommendations. He kept an open eye and checked several times if I liked the food (which I did - try the Burgers).
The memorable experience came towards the end of my stay at this place, when I noticed an old, green (but live) parrot sitting in a corner, watching the guests. I asked him about the parrot and he started telling me the story about the pub, the parrot and what brought him to this place. It was an authentic story from his heart - not the usual meaningless words before you say goodbye.
