BURGER HUB 58 — Restaurant in Barcelona

I was going to leave a good review after eating there a couple times during my stay at Barcelona. However on my last visit there my experience has gone from good to atrocious.

I went in like usual and ordered crispy chicken burger meal with fries and and drink. Food comes and I’ve eaten through 2/3 of the meal until I found a long strand of hair in my fries that was buried in the pile. The hair was orange/reddish and my hair is small, black and curly. I notified the main gentleman who owns the establishment, and at first he said I don’t see it after I tried to point out to him numerous time’s. I pulled the hair and gave it to him. After he saw the hair he made excuses such as “the oil was recently changed, there’s fresh oil” and “look at my hair, it’s short”, “it’s not my staff hair. They don’t have this colour”.

Not a single accountability or apology from him. He was basically gaslighting my claims and if he could say it, he would’ve said I put it there.

Please be aware of what you eat, I have certainly learned my lesson. I hope you can learn from mine. I still paid full price for a meal I couldn’t finish...

Beware of scammers! We arrived in Barcelona late, we wanted to have dinner, but other restaurants were closed. Although the "HUB burger" bar looks awful, we decided to eat a burger there and have a drink. The burgers were very bad, and the culmination of the bad impression was when we asked for the bill. They barely gave us the bill, and there was no draft beer on it that we drank, but the item "varios" was mentioned, which the waiter explained to us as "the rest" because there is no item of beer in the cash register. This a great burger place. Note that it’s fast food so that’s what you should expect! The owner and his family were very friendly and the service was prompt.

After weeks of tapas I was itching for a an American-style cheeseburger and this place was exactly what I needed. I ordered the double (number 5). It was massive and, as expected, a little messy so I eventually had to use a knife and fork. Next time I’ll probably get a single. The burger was delicious and fries great too.
